Also the counterpoint is that we’re facing a supply chain strain, most Americans can still find most goods in almost every part of the country. It’s nothing like the kind of chronic shortages people face in countries that just-in-time ignores.

the wave of revolt we are seeing right now is the latest ripple of china's declining growth numbers, which was the main thing that shielded poorer, commodity exporting countries from the worst of the 2008 crash.
