Someone asked me if there’s a centralized resource re: the organized coup against public school boards. I know of no such resource. But at least three Religious Right organizations under the Council for National Policy (CNP) umbrella are involved in organizing & training. 1/
They are the Leadership Institute (led by CNPer Morton Blackwell), TPUSA (led by CNPer Charlie Kirk), and the Heritage Foundation (not sure re: Heritage, but I think I saw something recently). 2/
There are also local groups that are likely at most two steps removed from these organizations, such as Moms 4 Liberty (headquartered in Sarasota, Florida) and the Mama Bullies (who call themselves the Iowa Mama Bears & have traveled with Mike Flynn). 3/
I knew the attacks were about destroying public education (not “protecting kids” from CRT or mask mandates) bc I have studied both the CNPs and Koch brothers’ goals re: public education for several years. (Koch’s help fund many CNP organizations). 4/
17/Re: the assault on lublic schools in Texas, @ScottUhlTX is a great resource.
18/ If the assaults on public schools are a focus of yours & I left u off this thread, pls let me know. It was not intentional. Thanks!
19/ @nancylevine has done a great job trying to hold @eventbrite to account for allowing Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA to use its platform to promote events in Oregon. TPUSA has long been at the forefront of attacks on public schools.
20/ @TPUSA has no problem w/ lies & deception as shown by its partnership w/ #PizzagateJack (Posobiec). I wrote this thread compiling info re: Posobiec’s lies & deceptions & their dangerous fallout. It is appalling that @verified hasn’t banned him. threadreaderapp.com/thread/1447430…
21/ @sandibachom is excellent on this (attacks on public education) and related bad actors as well!
Right-wing organizations & influencers have stoked, coordinated, & provided training for the assault on public schools in plain sight. Anyone claiming otherwise is lying or ignorant. TPUSA was founded by Council for National Policy member Charlie Kirk. 1/
This guy seems really triggered by my thread (and @JuddLegum’s) exposing the right wing “think tanks,” training, & coordinated propaganda efforts that have been used to enrage low information voters & weaponize them against public schools. Wonder why. 1/
Well that was easy. Seems he is connected to & aligned with Philadelphia’s far right Middle East Forum (MEF) think tank, which has supported Bannon’s international “the movement”. I’ve been writing about them this week. Yike. 2/

Project Veritas has deliberately spread false or misleading information & thinks that @Twitter (which kicked both PV & its founder, James O’Keefe off its platform) should let it back on its platform. 2/

Here’s a video of the June 2018 “free Tommy Robinson” rally in London organized by Philadelphia’s Middle East Forum (MEF). Looks like Jan 6 doesn’t it?
MEF may have ties to Steve Bannon whose protégés recently met w/ Tommy Robinson in Berlin. 1/ thesun.co.uk/news/6489748/f…
2/ Note reference to Alexandra Preate too. She and her sister are very involved in PA Republican politics. I’m trying to confirm Carole’s info that MEF has donated to Bannon or to a Bannon entity or project.
