1. Find a compelling reason to wake up early.

- Why do you want to wake up early?

- To get a head start in your day? To be healthier?

- To get more work done?

Find your purpose.

2. Take baby steps to make a transition.

- Waking up immediately at 5 am is tough.

- Start off by improving your wake up time by 15 min or 30 min each day.

3. Figure out stopping cause.

- Understand what is causing you to wake up late and tackle them.

- Playing games or more screen time before sleep increases the time you take to fall asleep.

- Cut out the stimulants that affects your sleep schedule, like caffeine or alcohol.
4. Sleeping less or sleeping late doesn't make you more productive.

- Good sleep is needed to stay active.

- If you sleep late, you end up waking up late. The entire plan for the day gets disturbed.

- Create urgency.

- Set up extremely important and urgent tasks as the first items of the day.

- Be realistic. If you target to wake up at 5 am, don't turn in at only 2am the night before and expect to wake up on time.

- Keep the alarm clock far away so that you have to wake up and turn it off.

- Placing it right next to you, makes it easy to hit snooze.

- Switching your alarm to your favourite music tune will be helpful.
8. Meditate.

- Meditate for two minutes before you sleep.

- It helps you to clear mental clutter and makes it easier to sleep.

9. Practice mindfulness.

- To feel more energized after waking up early, engage in some inner work.

- Do some mindfulness exercises.
