RD/Twinbrook delays due to train 106 offloading @ Forest Glen. The train is being used for a track inspection due to a earlier report of a possible fire on the inbound track. #wmata
It looks like #wmata may be single-tracking between Forest Glen and Silver Spring due to an earlier report of a possible fire on the inbound track. Delays, both directions.
Red Line trains are running again in both directions between Forest Glen and Silver Spring. No single-tracking, but delays up to 15 minutes (there was a track crew in the area with access to the tracks, causing some trains to hold).

Follow up walking inspections by #wmata ERT crews didn't turn up anything burnt or signs of burning.

There's a #wmata ATC signal problem affecting the Yellow/Green lines, causing some trains to hold.
#wmata signal problem @ L'Enfant Plaza now hitting 10min delays.
#wmata ATC personnel cleared up trains on the southbound track first, moving to the northbound track second. Yellow/Green line trains remain delayed towards Greenbelt.

The ROCC has declared a "Code 34" - meaning that Rail Traffic Controllers are blind and cannot remotely see where trains are. This is *not* an imminent safety risk - the underlying ATC system continues to work - but may cause some train delays.

The MetroHero data access to the #wmata APIs also appears to be affected.
It sounds like the #wmata ROCC is able to see where trains are and can remotely set signals again (as of 4:58p).

I defer to @dcmetrohero on the accuracy of the data, but it appears #wmata @Metrobusinfo has missed about ~100-140 bus trips over the past 3 hours this morning across its network.

The #wmata Board is swearing in 3 new members today:

Principals:
* Sarah Kline
* Kamilah Martin-Proctor

Alternate:
* Bryna Helfer

Taking place of:
* Steve McMillan
* Devin Rouse
* Anthony Costa

Among other roles, Kline used to run Metro Policy/Gov Relations
The #wmata Board has waived parking fees at Shady Grove and Rockville while the stations are closed.
The #wmata OIG office reviewed & said several legacy "mission critical" programs don't have modernization plans.

Apparently the names of these programs is so sensitive that they're not willing to say which are lacking these plans.
