1. Ravan is a scholar: this is a myth. Valmiki adorns Ravan with many adjectives, chief among them are - पातकी (sinner), अधम(fallen), राक्षसाधम(worst among Rakshasas), दुष्कृत् (terrorist) and व्यभिचारी (rapist). Scholarly Ravan came into being only in modern interpretations.
2. Ravan is a master warrior: Ravan was a decent warrior. But he wasn’t the invincible warrior he is portrayed to be. Kartivirya Arjun beat him like a mule. Vali tucked him in his armpit. Even Sugriva threw him around like a sack of potatoes. Ravan’s son Meghnad showed more valor
3. He avenged his sister: lol. Shoorpanakha was the pervert sister of pervert Ravan. Ravan agreed to abduct Sita only after Shoorpnakha tells him how beautiful she is. Ravan was mad with lust, he had zero intentions of avenging his sister.
4. He did not trick anyone in Ram’s family: haha. Tricking was Lankapati’s thing. He survived for so long only because he was a master trickster (Mayapati). Anyway Marich as deer was Ravan’s trick, presenting Ram’s severed head to Sita through Maya was another trick.
5. Vibhishan was tricked by Ram: Which book is she reading 😂. Vibhishan was never respected in Lanka for being Satvik. He was thrown out when he told Ravan to return Sita. He sought Shri Ram’s refuge and Shri Ram sought intelligence from him. Quid pro quo.
Karna and Ravana worshipping Hindus are नराधम (worst among men), मूढ़ (stupid) and अनार्य (not of noble birth).

India is a hungry country, shame on PM Modi - a thread
The Global Hunger Index (GHI) launched on Thursday ranked India at 101 position out of a total 116 countries. India is also among the 31 countries where hunger has been identified as serious.
So is #GHI a UN 🇺🇳 curated list?
Is it an international body?
Umm no, GHI is an index created by a non-profit organization named International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). It was established only in 2006.
So how is the so called hunger index calculated?
The GHI is calculated on four parameters:
1) Undernourishment: calculated by the share of the population whose caloric intake is insufficient.
I am a devout Sanatani. But I hate Jagratas! – A Thread
I think the first time I witnessed Dilli ka Jagrata, first-hand was in 2011. I had recently shifted to a 1 room set in a society in Dwarka after staying in Gurgaon for almost 3 years.
Being a devout Sanatani, I absolutely hate the college-fest-style celebration that Jagratas are.
I absolutely detested the way the ‘Vigrahas’ were carried to the venue.
A truck slowly made its way to the community park in which plastic vigrahas of Devi Durga and a bunch of other gods were kept. The vigrahas were fixed firmly with a thick rope.
20 years of Narendra Modi “The Leader” - 7 Badass skills you can learn from him (a thread)
1.History only remembers decisive people: Pakistan attacked us. Let’s respond. UP elections are ahead let’s still go for demonetisation. Let’s start GST. Abolish 370. Many things will work. Many won’t. Take a decision because there is no such thing as a perfect decision.
2. Be a disruptionist: Commonplace is okay. Following the rules is nice. But only those who are not afraid to shake things up a little are the ones who can change the world. All change makers are disruptionists.
A day in the mind of an Indian-liberal - a 2 part thread story.
LeLi wakes up at 10:00AM
He stretches with a loud yawn.
“What crazy dreams I see these days. This aayega to Modi shit is supremely annoying”, the LeLi wonders. He looks around himself.
Heaps of clothes scattered all over the floor, half eaten Maggi on the side table, flies buzzing all over it. Che Guevara passes seductive glances from the wall.
With the sole motive of making the message of Dharma reach every Dharmik in the country, I started the Mahabharata series on TFI.
For many people Mahabharata starts with Bhishma and ends with Duryodhan-Bhima fight but it’s absolutely incorrect.
Mahabharata begins long before Pandavas were born and continues long after they were gone.
BR Chopra’s TV Series is what most people think Mahabharata is, but it’s not even 40% of the original Mahabharata.
TFI’s recitation of Mahabharata is the original Vyasa version of Mahabharata with zero additions or modifications.
