Sobrang kadiri ng lahat ng misogynist takes since the start of the process of uniting the opposition. From Ping to Philip Lustre to Recto to Tonyo to Leody. Ang dating tuloy sa akin is that the reason there is no united opposition is because they refuse to submit to a woman...
... despite the fact that she has been the most competent, most consistent, toughest, and most sincere one among all our choices.
Men have been speaking over her continuously and calling her weak, indecisive, too kind, hinahawakan sa leeg, walang bayag sa utak at utak sa bayag.
Since she started gaining traction vs. Diktador Jr. in the VP race she has been the target of trolls and threats yet she remains steadfast. She never showed weakness. She never had a public meltdown. She is always calm, collected, and professional. Even towards these men.
Yet she is the the one called weak.
You can't convince me this isn't misogyny.
Ang hirap labanan ang macho governance ni Duterte pag ang mismong kasama natin sa laban ay yun ang hanap at doon humuhugot ng kritisismo kay VP.
Paki-pack up muna ang ego, boys. Para sa bayan.
I mean... why is VP everyone's common target. Ang labo niyong lahat.
Puro female presidents lang talaga ang comparison?
Adding Ka Leody's apology to this thread. While I'm still uncomfortable with how it is stated, I appreciate that the concern was acknowledged. Sana yung iba din.
Alam ko na madaming nasabi na dito about the campaign for VP @lenirobredo and despite all the disagreement around it, natutuwa pa rin ako at the fact na napakadiverse ng supporter base ni VP Leni and everyone seems to want to help in ensuring she wins.
Oo, thread din ito. I know we've seen a lot these days and I've tried to read all that cross my timeline because maraming magagandang ideas talaga na makakatulong kina @bamaquino as they start crafting the national campaign. I'm sure it has been a crazy week for them.
That being said, marami ding mga statements na hindi nakakatulong.
Especially those that begin with bad faith assumptions. I've seen posts starting with "Leni will lose.." and "I will stop supporting Leni if..."
Or sentiments that antagonize those who wish to ally with us.
Sobrang gulong gulong gulo na talaga ako sa vaccine-related policies and policy suggestions. Like they don't even sound logical to me. So here is how I understand it:
1. Vaccines are limited in supply. Why "punish" or isolate people for something that's out of their control?
2. Since vaccines are limited, government has understandably decided to prioritize the most vulnerable. Healthcare workers, seniors, and people with co-morbidities.
3. Getting vaccinated doesn't mean you won't ever get COVID, but it gives high assurances you won't die from it.
4. Getting vaccinated only protects the vaccinee, which means they are still a danger to those who are not vaccinated as they can be potential carriers of the virus.
5. Vaccination for A4 or other workers started but majority of those jabbed are still those in A3 and up
