I am going to try to articulate below the top 10 pieces of advice I would give to myself if today was day 1 in the NFT world, instead of month 10 from all the ups and downs I have had thus far or things I have noticed from others in the space. I hope this helps someone (1/X)
1. Decide how much money you want to dedicate to NFTs and stick to it. Don’t go back to your account to bring in more money unless your net worth outside of NFTs suddenly ↗️
2. Keep in an excel file of every buy/sell you make. Bonus points for listing SOL/ETH to USD at time (2/X)

3. Never put more than 25% of your NFT budget into a single project. Only exception is if you are starting with a small bankroll and need 3x-5x to get you going
4. Don’t listen to 99% of Twitter. Ppl are going to try to sell you on whatever it is that will make them money (3/X)

5. Try to bring a close friend you trust into the NFT world as well. You can bounce ideas off each other, leverage some of their research, have fun together and grow a friendship

7. Care about the integrity and passion of the development team of a project more than where a current floor price is. Things tend to work themselves out for those who care and put in the time and effort into their project (5/X)
8. You will get DMs with links and “proposals” from people you don’t know. Most of the time you should ignore. Never connect your wallet to anything you don’t trust and always use a secondary wallet with only mint funds to mint something. Never give out your seed phrase (6/X)
9. Try your best to contain FOMO on projects. It usually leads to a loss. Always tell yourself and remember that there will be another project and you do not have to be a part of every project. (7/X)
10. Trust your instinct and have fun. Don’t forget to give back to charity or to the community in some way when the time comes you are able to (8/8)
