The CIA told me that Russia invented a 24th Century super-sophisticated sonic weapon that allows them to roam the world injuring people's brains without detection and now I'm spreading this without the slightest evidence and demanding retaliation because I'm a journalist.
A huge portion of US corporate "journalism" is nothing more than this. They do it over and over and over with zero shame.

In fact, if you're someone who *doesn't* parrot what the CIA tells you to say, they'll accuse you of not doing "real reporting":

I spoke yesterday to @megynkelly about the tidal wave of lies, fabrications and bizarre conspiracies about the "Havana Syndrome" the CIA disseminated through their standard puppets in corporate media, complete, as always, with the effort to blame Russia:

My full discussion with Megyn -- which also included growing Democratic admiration and support for security state services (the Deep State) and the ongoing exploitation of 1/6 for civil liberties abuses, plus the Havana Syndrome -- begins here:

This viral tweet, promoting an article he wrote for the Intercept, is a lie. The article is a fraud. It claims two student journalists were censored by administrators over a pro-union article, yet Bernard *never even tried to speak with the students*, both of whom say he's lying:
The story itself, like most in the Intercept, is trivial. The key point is this:

These news outlets boast of their editorial and fact-checking rigor but that's only for articles that undercut their ideology. For stories that promote it, *anything* goes:

I watched this over and over not just at TI but most pro-DNC, anti-Trump outlets.

If you wanted to write an article challenging DNC orthodoxy, it's put through the ringer, sandpapered down to nothing or blocked. But for any anti-Trump/GOP article, it's all waved through. ImageImageImageImage

This is trivial theater to stimulate the liberal thirst for vengeance (which is dying after watching Mueller charge *nobody* with criminally conspiring with Russia and Biden DOJ charge *nobody* with insurrection or sedition), and to give CNN & MSNBC something to feed viewers:
FBI is telling news outlets it has searched and searched and found no evidence of centralized planning let alone insurrection on Jan 6. The NYT admitted FBI had informants at the Capitol it was talking to.

This spectacle is just for Adam Schiff & Liz Cheney to emote and distract
The lack of anger at Biden DOJ from those claiming to believe Jan. 6 was an insurrection is bizarre.

The only rational action for those who really believe this is marching outside in anger that nobody is charged with insurrection, sedition, trying to kill Pence, or kidnap AOC.

Exactly. They are. And this is why there is no need for Congress to exceed their Constitutional powers by dragging private citizens in for interrogation to investigate the same crimes, except that Adam Schiff & Liz Cheney know the DOJ won't charge the crimes they want to allege:
The DOJ and FBI are conducting one of the largest and most aggressive criminal investigations in history of everything 1/6. They are inventing new crimes and felonies to charge.

That's why it's a total lie to say opposing the 1/6 Committee means trying to hide what happened.
Last week, I wrote about the unconstitutionality and grave civil liberties abuses of Congress' 1/6 Committee. I'm unlocking the last section on the real reason Dems need this Committee: DOJ is charging nobody with insurrection, sedition, kidnapping, etc.:

CNN's expectation that every other outlet should adopt its view of what is worth discussing and what isn't is hilarious.

Nobody watches CNN. They are widely despised. The outlets and journalists that are thriving are the ones who reject, not copy, CNN's view of the world.
CNN expressing surprise that other outlets aren't copying their way of covering news would be like Enron executives sitting around shocked that other corporations haven't followed their ethical guidelines.

CNN is a failure on every level (except profit from cable fees).
CNN let its anchor interview his own brother repeatedly, then ignore his own brother's scandals. They just got caught red-handed lying so flagrantly about Joe Rogan that even their own correspondent admitted it, then refused to retract it.

Why would anyone copy CNN?

Schiff just accused Robert Mueller of being senile to explain to the liberal flock why Mueller indicted *nobody* for conspiring with Russia.

Now he's attacking Merrick Garland for not prosecuting Trump.

The law keeps interfering with Schiff's delusions.

news.yahoo.com/schiff-vehemen…
The point of the 1/6 Committee is to feed liberals vengeance and catharsis because they know DOJ won't vindicate their Insurrection and Sedition narrative: not one person charged with that.

So they staffed it with drama queens -- Schiff, Cheney, Kinzinger -- to create theater.
Basically the only thing the 1/6 Committee will accomplish is parade around a bunch of the impoverished, already-broken Capitol rioters -- people who can't afford lawyers and have already been cowed into submission -- to satiate the sadistic liberal mob's thirst for retribution.

Every now and then it's worth stopping and remembering how completely stupid and unhinged (but dangerous) was the media hysteria generated for years around Russiagate.
