I watched this over and over not just at TI but most pro-DNC, anti-Trump outlets.
If you wanted to write an article challenging DNC orthodoxy, it's put through the ringer, sandpapered down to nothing or blocked. But for any anti-Trump/GOP article, it's all waved through.

It's not even a questionable or close call that @nathanTbernard engaged in journalistic malfeasance and fraud. It's 100% inexcusable not to even try to contact the students supposedly "censored" (who insist Bertrand is lying about them). It's be so easy to admit, but they won't.
For the news media outlets that cater a specific party or ideological faction -- and TI is part of the HuffPost/Vox/CNN/MSNBC/NewYorkMag/Vice/Gizmodo/Vulture axis whose readership is solely left-liberals -- they know their readers *want* them to lie for the ideology, so they do.
This is exactly true. When these corporate outlets try to distinguish themselves from the low-level, dirty bloggers and the independent voices by claiming they have rigorous editing and fact-checking, this is the *only* thing they really mean:

Think about what @nathanTbernard did. In this article, he accused 2 student-journalists -- who he never even tried to talk to -- of cowardly capitulating by censoring: a grave attack on their integrity. Yet they both say it's a lie, but the article doesn't include their quotes.
