Personal finance, investing, money management for an individual used to be driven on excel sheets! I’ve been through that process.
But the rise of FINTECH in India has made our lives substantially easier.
Here are apps I use for managing my money:
1. IND Money (@INDmoneyApp ): Our money & investments are usually spread across mutual funds, stocks, deposits, etc. INDmoney app brings them all to one place… & shows the cumulative net worth.
Also, it’s great for investing in US stocks.
What I like:
- Features
- UI / UX
- Only app that shows all my investments & liabilities in one place
- Ease of investing in US stocks
2. Zerodha (@zerodhaonline ): The first platform to make stock market investing easy for the common man in India!
All my stock market investments are here.
What I like:
- Ease of investing
- Great business story (bootstrapped unicorn; lean org)
I dislike the fact that there are issues sometimes in the app!
3. Finzipp (@FinZipp ) earlier “Invezta”:
Been using the platform since launch, & since the time @rodinhood first mentioned it on his social media.
I use this app for all my direct mutual funds investments!
What I like:
- Easy to use
- Goal based investing (& analytics)
- Recommendations provided by AI basis risk profile & goals
- Money goes from my bank account straight to AMC
- Help desk is quite responsive on emails
4. CRED (@CRED_club ): Been using CRED from its beta days. It made credit card bill payments very easy, & no other app has been able to better it on that feature.
Hence, I ve stuck to it throughout.
What I like:
- Easy to pay all CC bills from one place
- Tells me about hidden charges & offers on my card
- Reminds me about the approaching due date
- Great UI / UX
5. Paytm (@Paytm ): Yes it’s been around forever, but for all the payments next door & for quick transfers there is no better app!
Paytm has managed to stay at the top & become a permanent part of our lives.
What I like:
- Seamless UPI transactions
- Fastag recharging is super simple
- Paytm Wallet
- Accepted literally everywhere
6. Banking Apps: I have bank accounts in HDFC & ICICI. Use both apps for mobile banking requirements.
This is not optional :)
What I like:
- Can generate statements easily
- Easy to do IMPS / NEFT transactions
What are the other finance apps you use & would recommend I try?
How’s your experience been?

From cleaning out the office garbage to leading a team across countries, I was lucky to have different experiences & roles.
Here are my learnings:
1. DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS: It is easy to compare our situation & journey with someone else’s. We compare salaries, designations, progress, etc.
Maybe this is inherent in our society! But the more you compare, the more it will impact you negatively!
Did you know that VIVO acquired the Title Sponsor rights of the IPL for a whopping 2,190 Crores for 5 years…. That’s 438 Crores per season!!!
Sponsorship in IPL happens in two ways:
(a) Central Sponsorship: Association at the League level
(b) Team Sponsorship: Association with a team / franchise
