The next bit tells contacts they don't need to isolate, but are advised to get a single PCR test. The first bit of advice is to 'wash your hands for 20 secs'.

I couldn't bring myself to read the rest. Our children are being let down badly- by govt, by JCVI, by RCPCH, former PHE (now UKHSA), and local authorities. I feel completely hopeless for our children- who are getting infected in droves, while other countries protect theirs.
And this bit - essentially, don't worry this is not a problem unique to your area- kids are getting infected all over the country 'despite' current guidelines...
Isn't that a good reason to be rethinking current guidelines. Local authorities can override DfE - why aren't they?

@CambsCC - this is simply not good enough for parents, or children. You are also responsible for the safety of children and staff in schools, and current policy very clearly does not go far enough. We are seeing rising no.s of children with long COVID & in hospitals. Do better.
