In my eleven years as an MP, I must say this budget is the one which sticks out in my memory as being so extensively briefed to the media.
From all of the reports, three things are clear:
1. The leaked plans show that the Tories are out of touch and have the wrong priorities. They're cutting tax for big industries whilst whacking working people with a cut to Universal Credit #CancelTheCut
2. These policies come at the wrong time - when people are really feeling the pinch. Rising prices of energy, food, and petrol are set to make this one of the hardest winters.
3. @UKLabour have a clear plan. We'd abolish VAT on energy bills for 6months to help people through a torrid winter - something we can afford to do as the VAT receipts have been higher than expected

Great to visit Bolton Interchange today and see first hand the new buses that will be sweeping Greater Manchester soon
Delighted that under @AndyBurnhamGM's stewardship GM is finally getting an integrated transport system in the form of the #BeeNetwork
It was great to chat to staff from @OfficialTfGM on the ground (Michael, Donna, and Jade) about the ambitious plans
They're working to deliver an integrated bus and tram transport system by 2024 and to include trains by 2030, feeding into a wider net zero goal by 2038
For more information take a read of this, here is an information piece from today's event I snapped (photography is not my forte so apologies!)
This clearly outlines Greater Manchester's plan to create an affordable alternative and address the age old idea that "car is king."
