& experiences that they most certainly have never lived. Second, there r also, what Kyle Whyte calls “moralizing narratives” at work here. Moralizing narratives are used by settlers to justify their exploitive, extractivist behaviour and the logic that supports it. For example..

This idea that behind this journalism is just lateral violence/blood quantum divisive politics at work but that this individual is taking the moral high road by following more “traditional” or “authentic” ways of being...except when, they, of course, are not.
