@POTUS’ Build Back Better Act Framework could deliver the most significant climate investment in U.S. history—reducing carbon pollution, advancing environmental justice, and creating millions of good jobs building our clean energy future.
The framework contains transformative investments Evergreen has fought for like:
✅ Robust clean energy tax credits
✅ Environmental justice investments
✅ A Green Energy Accelerator
✅ A Civilian Climate Corps
Now, Congress must get it done.
While the announcement of this framework is welcome news, House progressives must hold the line and refuse to support the bipartisan infrastructure bill until both bills are ready to move toward the president’s desk. #NoClimateNoDeal
At the same time, @POTUS must pursue more aggressive executive action with strong standards.
We need more robust executive action to deliver President Biden’s commitments to halve US pollution and transition to 100% clean electricity by 2035.
Armed with this framework and a path to Congressional passage, America could credibly say it's back in a position of global leadership as @POTUS heads to #COP26.
It represents the potential for historic progress on climate change, and the work continues.

Earlier this year, a senior lobbyist for @ExxonMobile was caught admitting to discrediting science, joining “shadow groups” and claiming to support solutions they knew would never pass. Par for the course for big oil.
The Build Back Better Act must deliver on @POTUS’ commitment to halve climate pollution by 2030.
