I am not judging a Shankaracharya based on his support for RSS, BJP, or Modi as a touchstone. For example, If a Shankaracharya supports RSS-BJP's Karmana Varna, I will call him a fraud.

Swaroopananda ji is being judged and criticized first for his support to a Malechcha force like Congress and Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty and second, being an instrument of the Raja/Politician.
A Shankaracharya is supposed to keep king at the front tip of his wooden sandals.
