More Floridians have died from Covid now than the total number of Americans who died in the Vietnam war
I hope not wearing a mask and letting unfettered capitalism run wild during a pandemic was worth it to DeSantis because those people are never coming back and those 57,000 families will never be the same.

This is beyond politics, it’s about basic human dignity and leadership.
Sorry I mean 59,000 😔
Deleted the stat I posted earlier because there were to many variables to compare states like CA and FL which have different population densities and demographics.

We have to dismantle the system that enables the NRA to pay off our politicians and oil companies to trade in our future for this quarters profit.

Our generation was born into a world full of problems we didn’t create but we have no choice to solve or die trying.
We’re going need to be to be a lot better organized and strategic. They have 1000x the funding we do so we need to figure out how to get them to waste 99.99% of their resources. While relying on what we have but they don’t- the people.
We’re going to need to get a lot better at organizing and gathering intelligence. We will need to have strong leadership, longterm planning and prioritization of our goals.

I hate writer’s block
I’m on the last page of this paper on Florynce Kennedy’s use of storytelling in her book Abortion Rap and need a way to really pull together a compelling conclusion.
I figured it out.

January 6th was not just an attack waged on our capitol, January 6th was an attack on our Republic, an assault on our constitution and an onslaught waged on every single American.

If we do nothing- it will happen again and it won’t be unsuccessful. Now is not the time to stop.
If you think I’m crazy and alarmist open a history book. Unsuccessful insurrections are rarely the last.
Every American who still believes in expanding the promises of this country to all, making good on them and creating an actual representative democracy for the first time in our nations history should be running for office.

I was just getting pizza and this person named Brenda came up and thanked me for the all the work we do. She said she’s been following our work and me on twitter from where she lives in Mexico for years.

Thanks for the support Brenda!
The internet is a powerful thing
This happened at the same pizza place Mark Zuckerberg coded Facebook *mean meta* at. Not a fan Zuckerberg but I am a fan of the pizza.

We should get young people running against NRA backed candidates in state legislatures across the country.
The generation that’s grown up with school shooter drills now is old enough to start removing these candidates from power. It would be a powerful story.
Start small- scale it up over time. This could be interesting
Gotta think through a couple things.

A) how can they get the funding to run
B) what are some close state legislatures where they could actually make a difference by changing the majority.
C) how to recruit and find the right candidates
D) how can I help with this while in school

Republicans have been playing a +50 year chess game, that they have won, and now are flipping the board. While liberals continue playing checkers every two years.

Its time for a new generation and a new game.
I just got the coolest idea on what the first move in this new game looks like :)
Only this game will work to create an actual representative democracy for the first time in our nation's history. A type of human-centered politics. One that works to advance justice and equality to create peace. To make the American dream a reality.
