Balancing our full-time job and content creation is hard.

Still, in ~7weeks I tweeted for 35 days straight:
~1.380 tweets
27 tweets/day avg.
6 "original"
21 by engaging

And got:
~700k impressions
~3.700 profile clicks

Here are 12 strategies on how to do it 🧵👇
1/ Plan your week in advance

Every Sunday I plan my week before I focus on creating content.

This will give you clarity about what matters for each day of the week and allow you to block time to take care of your content accordingly.
2/ Define your Thread day

Having a well-defined day to publish your thread makes a huge difference when it comes to being consistent in the long term.

A lot of work goes before publishing, that way you'll be able to focus on every small task to ship the thread you want. Image
3/ Batch Twitter

Batch your Twitter interactions.

I batch my idea generation and outline thread writing on Sundays.

I also batch the moment I reply to comments, DMs and engage with people every day during the week.

This way I can be 100% focused & committed every moment. Image
4/ Make the time

I hear a lot of people telling me they just "can't find the time to be on Twitter".

To show up every day, you need to make out the time in advance.

Block it.

This will become your "Sacred Time": the time of the day that you set aside to be on Twitter. Image
5/ Create templates

80% of my job is about answering emails, creating Powerpoint slides, and making Excel analyses.

Invest time creating templates to accelerate your day-to-day job.

Some templates are:
*meeting notes
*roadmaps
*features comparisons
*benchmarks
*business cases
6/ Automate tasks

As creators, we have a ton of tasks we can automate.
The same goes for our daily jobs.

For distribution use:
*Zapier
*IFTTT

To schedule tweets:
*Hypefurry
*Typefully

Pro tip: create email rules:
*save emails in folders
*set automatic replies
7/ Play with timezones

Tweet as soon as you wake up.
End the day by engaging and Retweeting your best content.

This way you'll seem to be online 24h/day.
That's how I do it.

I have different timezones on my iPhone and use them accordingly in my Twitter daily usage. Image
8/ Do the work in advance

A ton happens before posting. Start doing it days before.

Some of that work is
* Writing down Tweet and threads ideas
* Taking notes from podcasts, articles, threads, etc

Leverage tech to do it:
*Readwise
*Threader
*Notion
*Evernote
*Bear
*Pocket
9/ Use Twitter Deck

Much of our work as creators is to filter the noise that goes on in the platform.

To do it create Lists and use Twitter Deck.

You'll engage much better with people and write faster by using your Laptop keyboard.

Don't be on your phone during work hours! Image
10/ Go for a walk

Don't let the "online" world drain your energy.

Go for a walk, be in contact with nature. It will help you find balance and put things in perspective.

Not every day will be a great day. Don't despair, keep showing up, keep improving on your craft.
11/ Change your mindset

Going from Consumer to Creator is the first step.

Now stop telling yourself "I want to become a Creator".

Instead.

Start telling yourself "I am a Creator".

After this mindset change, start treating your content creation work as a professional athlete.
12/ Find love-life balance

Stop chasing work-life balance.

Instead.

Focus on love-life balance.

Maximize the things you love doing in life.

If you have to answer a work email at late hours then do it.
It will build trust with your peers and help you value more what you love.
TL;DR:

1. Plan your week
2. Define your Thread day
3. Batch Twitter
4. Make the time
5. Create templates
6. Automate tasks
7. Use timezones
8. Do the work in advance
9. Use Twitter Deck
10. Go for a walk
11. Change your mindset
12. Find love-life balance

• went from 54 to ~1,500 followers

Here are 9 tweets on how I've 30x my audience 🧵👇
1. Decide to commit.

On the 1st of Sept., I've decided to commit to Twitter.

Still, I've only committed consistently by the 13th of Sept.

I had 54 followers by then. Almost 20 followers 2 weeks before that.

2. Tweet often and make experiments

Started to write threads using different writing styles.

Experiments are huge.

I've used storytelling, bullet-point lists and settled my year-end goals.

Growing on Twitter is hard.

Even though I was able to 10x my Audience in ~6 weeks 🔥

Since the past 13th Sept. I went from 54 to ~580 followers 🤯

Here are my results, and 10 tactics to help you grow 👇
0. Before digging into what I've done, let's set the foundations:

• Bring value
• Tweet 3-5 times a day
• Engage with people (Comment, Reply, DM them)
• Optimize your Profile
1. What the heck "Bring value" means?

To me, you can bring value if you:

• Curate the best creators on a specific topic
• Bring your own insights about a specific topic

In my case?

I share successful stories, my perspectives on how to grow on Twitter, and my learnings.

I've created 100+ C-level presentations over the past 3 years.

Here are 10 learnings to help you create $1M+ presentations:
1. Understanding a C-Level presentation deck

Most of the times C-level presentations are sent by e-mail and you're not the one who presents them.

That means the presentation has to have all the information so people can understand it and take action.

Eg.: project status.
2. Start with a sheet of paper

Write down the key messages and call-to-actions you need them to take from the deck, and pin-point the needed information/data.

Eg.:
• Roadmap can be compromised if we don't mitigate risks;
• Identify the whats, hows and whys.

How to create great content?

5 frameworks to start using today 👇
1. Be Original, just enough

Nothing is 100% original, and the more you strike out on your own path, the less you know where it’s heading.

Novelty is a risk.

Too much of it, and you’ll fail.
Too little of it and you'll become redundant.

Shoot for a balance of both.
To find that balance apply the "gaming" framework: when making a new game, change only one element from what came before.

• Format – P.C., internet, mobile, etc.
• Content – e.g. build and conquest, first-person shooter, etc.
• Topic – Dragons, Vikings, Space, Mafia, etc.
