Trump may have cheated his way to victory. Remember how he objected to the recount & most of it was shut down & how the polls predicted he’d lose in a landslide? Remember the leaked exit polls indicating he was toast & the subsequent teeny margins right where he needed them? 1/
Remember the info leaked by #RealityWinner & how she was locked up for it? 2/
I don’t know that cheating changed the result in 2016. What I do know is that our government didn’t look to find out - or if it did look, it kept it classified. A journalist in a position to elicit a response should ask the FBI if it looked. 3/ jennycohn1.medium.com/why-have-so-ma…
As far as I can tell, only the DHS was asked if it looked to see if tallies were changed, not the FBI or other agencies. 4/
5/ Remember how PA in particular still used mostly paperless voting machines?
7/ And it wasn’t just that the exit polls were off in 2016. It was that they were especially, egregiously off right where Trump needed them to be off. Similar to Bush 2004. @JonathanSimon14
10/ “The greatest disparities [in 04] were concentrated in battleground states—particularly Ohio.” harpers.org/archive/2012/1…
11/ I’ve been hair on fire concerned about 2016 for 4+ years but never once stormed the Capitol. Concerns do not equal proof. Nor do they naturally & probably lead to violence - unless Trump is involved.
12/ Remember how Karl Rove agreed to help Trump in 2016 & how Trump appointed all those right wing SCOTUS justices at which point Rove didn’t need him anymore? nytimes.com/2016/06/03/us/…
13/ And how Trump seemed to be trying to bribe Rove with the 5G contract before the 2020 election but it didn’t work?
14/ Remember how Trump’s campaign manager was Paul Manafort who had a firm with Roger Stone that represented brutal dictators, including Ferdinand Marcos in 1986, whose election that year was considered fraudulent, leading to a revolution that ousted him? bbc.com/news/av/magazi…
15/ In 1992, the Center for Public Integrity published a blistering report called the“Torturers’ Lobby,” which detailed how Black Manafort & Stone enriched itself by representing brutal third-world dictators, such as President Marcos in the Philippines. cloudfront-files-1.publicintegrity.org/legacy_project…
16/ A pollster who went to the Philippines w/ CBS News, said a “representative of Manafort’s firm had asked him, ‘What sort of margin might make a Marcos victory legitimate?’ The implication was clear...How do we rig this thing [the 1986 election] & still satisfy the Americans?”
20/ “The evidence [of fraud by the Marcos regime, Stone & Manafort’s client] that has piled up since election day includes photographs, videotapes, affidavits and altered ballots.” latimes.com/archives/la-xp… 2/16/86
21/ Massive election fraud marred the 1986 snap election in the Philippines. The fraud benefited Stone & Manafort’s client, then President Marcos.
22/ Remember how in 2016 Manafort sent detailed polling data to a guy who was caught on tape conspiring to hack the results of Ukraine’s election in 2004? archive.nytimes.com/www.nytimes.co…
23/ Can anyone honestly say with a straight face that Manafort would not have at least tried to rig the 2016 election by bribing & blackmailing people in a position to change vote tallies - including on the ground in the US? Cuz that’s dumb.
24/
25/ Luzerne county, PA was very much in the cross hairs in 2016. Ground zero for God Knows What.
26/ I will never get over how our government provided false assurances to us re: the legitimacy of the 2016 election. At best, they had no idea whether tallies were changed or not. It didn’t have to be done from Russia FFS.
29/ Trump’s campaign compromised everyone they cld, including Ed Rendell, the DNC chair in 2016. Yes, he’s Rendell = PA. He sat on the board of a Saipan casino w/ Woolsey & former FBI director Louis Freeh, @trickfreee learned was Guiliani's running pal. inquirer.com/philly/news/po…
32/ For those who don’t know, Karl Rove has long been suspected of orchestrating election fraud for the GOP. I don’t know if Rove did or didn’t do this, but I’m sure Trump was well aware of those rumors.
34/ Rove had a very public meltdown on election night, 11/7/12, when results in Ohio showed Obama had won the state (as polls predicted he would). This was the day after those secret software patches in Ohio were exposed. deadline.com/2012/11/carl-r…
35/ Rove was sued for allegedly orchestrating election fraud in 2004 but the case was derailed when a witness died in a private plane crash. I’m not saying it was murder. Could have been an accident. These are just the facts. cbsnews.com/news/republica…
36/ Again, whether Rove has orchestrated election fraud or not, Trump almost certainly believed that he had.
37/ Which is one reason why the whole 5G thing was so concerning.
38/ It sure doesn’t look like Trump told Karl “no.” “Trump Reportedly Pushing Through 5G Deal That Would Enrich His Friends” - 10/21/20 vanityfair.com/news/2020/10/t…
40/ To be clear, I don’t have proof Rove has ever orchestrated election fraud. But he’s certainly depraved enough to do this, there is smoke, and my educated guess is that he cld have if he wanted to.
41/ Others could have done it too. WI & FL had modems in their ES&S precinct scanners starting in 2015. Then there was the whole remote access scandal. People w/ direct access could do it too.

I first heard of the Council for National Policy from @amandablount2. I wrote about it > learning that a few too many dubious election results in the US since 2000 have involved CNP members or CNP award recipients (& other Religious Right members). 1/ extranewsfeed.com/americas-talib…
Quite frankly, it scared the bejeezus out of me. 2/
Rs are now the party of violent religious extremists. They have morphed into a “Christian” version of the Taliban. They want to shutter the Department of Education so they can teach their version of a hateful God in school. Bannon even called 4 beheadings. theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
Either we listen to experts or we don’t. Democrats and Republicans have decided that we don’t. Neither party introduced a law that wld require rigorous election audits in 2022. Ds congratulate themselves for conceding, Rs congratulate themselves 4 #fraudits, & so shall it be. 🤬
Someone asked me what I think about Virginia’s results. What I think is that we need a rigorous manual audit b4 results are certified. I think we need that for all races. That’s what election security experts think too. Sadly, VA law doesn’t call 4 it. 🥵 verifiedvoting.org/auditlaw/virgi…
Renowned election experts have said for YEARS that we need rigorous manual election audits! Don’t let Trump’s lies about 2020 and “fraudits” fool you into a false sense of security. Don’t let him trick you into rejecting the notion of audits. 1/
Something is very wrong w/ our election system. Number 1, that the Florida GOP has maintained control of the state for years despite the state having had so many more registered Ds (until now). Number 2, that Florida now claims to have more registered Rs than Ds. 1/
Historically, I’ve been worried that the GOP may have gotten away with rampant cheating in elections. My concern now is that they may not even need to break the law anymore, that we may have crossed a tipping point due to gerrymandering, dark money, etc. 2/
But this sudden rise in Republican registrations is something new. What is going on??? 3/ @harrisonjaime
