GUYS, the NYT has a new Trump Voter story!

I know, right? nytimes.com/2021/11/06/us/…
this one features (are you sitting down?) middle-aged rural whites
i've honestly lost count of how many Trump Voter stories from NYT since 2015.

but **every single one* is filled w/ pics like this, bc this is how NYT newsroom views America .
a 64-year-old white Republican from a red county is The Most Important Person In American Politics, says NYT
of course this story runs A1 above the fold in today’s NYT print edition. i.e. it’s one of the most important news stories in America

that’s why reporters keep writing Trump Voter stories! editors love them abd they get great play
imagine thinking Dems do poorly in rural America passes as political news, let alone front page

any reason this info, which reflects well on Biden administration, was left out report on high food costs, which reflects poorly on administration?

coincidence, I guess
simple solution would be to do a follow-up report acknowledging problems w/ the story and key context that was missing
it’s always odd to watch journalists who demand accountability look away when it’s their turn

vax rate has gone from 1% to 70% under Biden

all schools have re-opened in person, millions back at work in office, concerts halls and football stadiums are full
also, this is just GOP garbage

<supply chain slowdown that has emptied some stores>

if stores in US were “empty” today I’m pretty sure CNN would have pics—they don’t
and, Covid zombies on the right actively prolong pandemic, press blames Biden

i just checked: in 2009 when Dems lost NJ and VA gov race during Obama's first year in office, the NYT published one analysis piece, which suggested the defeats may or may not spell trouble for Dems

I think NYT has posted at least 9 articles about VA loss last night
something has happened to our DC press corps.
they now aspire to this

quick thread on why CRT was such an effective campaign lie, aside from appealing to suburban racism 1/
GOP used CRT as a battering ram to hit Dems. but truth is most elected Dems had never heard of CRT and certainly weren’t supporters of it being taught in schools, esp to young students 2/
Meaning, there was no natural Dem instinct to get into the CRT debut and forcefully debunk claims abt it being taught 3/

my latest — Build Back Better coverage is awful; pressrun.media/p/bidens-unive…
“Was Maggie Haberman right? Had the press and the Times done a sterling job educating the public about Build Back Better? The answer is no, according to Nexis.”
“The press is in heated agreement that Biden is to blame for Americans not knowing about the contents of Build Back Better. There’s zero self-reflection involved.”

I’ve yet to see single journalist explain/defend the fact that news outlets constantly cover GOP attacks on CRT w/o noting it’s not taught in schools

how is that even possible? pressrun.media/p/critical-rac…
then again, same press corps that couldn’t/wouldn’t defend refusing to call Trump a liar in news coverage.
“Why are the media covering for the GOP regarding CRT?

They’re terrified of labeling conservatives as liars, cheats and cons. Especially the ones who present themselves as ‘concerned parents.’”
