On Dec 1, the Court will consider Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, a case dealing with Mississippi's abortion ban that DIRECTLY challenges Roe v. Wade. That’s right, the state of Mississippi is asking the Court to take away your constitutional right to abortion.
3/6 If Roe is overturned, *half* the country are poised to ban abortion. The harm and chaos experienced by folks in Mississippi and nearby states like Texas, will spread across the South and Midwest.
Want to see what could happen in your state? Take a look at this map:
4/6 In striking down the 15 week abortion ban at the center of this case, the district court was clear that this is a matter of racial justice, saying that ban is “closer to the old Mississippi.” #AbortionIsEssential
5/6 The impact of abortion restrictions fall hardest on those who already face discriminatory obstacles to health care.
We all see what’s happening in Texas after SCOTUS failed to step in to block Texas' abortion ban. We can’t let it happen again—in Mississippi or anywhere else.
The time to speak up is now. If you believe #AbortionIsEssential – to dignity, to equality, to racial justice, to mental, emotional and physical health – then it’s time to get LOUD!

THREAD: Closing arguments have wrapped for #BillCosby’s retrial. Over the years, nearly 60 women have accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault, but this retrial hasn't received a lot of attention. Here’s what you need to know about Cosby’s predatory behavior and the retrial:
Bill Cosby is facing three counts of aggravated indecent assault. Last year, the first trial against Cosby ended in a mistrial because jurors couldn't come to a unanimous verdict on any of the three charges. usatoday.com/story/life/peo…#MeToo
The woman at the center of the retrial is former Temple University employee Andrea Constand—she accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2004. Constand sued Cosby in 2005 and received a settlement, but came forward again in 2015. nytimes.com/2018/04/13/art…#MeToo
