San Francisco leaders say they want to stop drugs from killing 700+ people/year but in quieter moments they say they can’t

It’s ridiculous, of course. Amsterdam, Lisbon & all other civilized cities don’t let hundreds of people die on the streets. They shut down deadly open air drug markets, arrest dealers, and mandat rehab as an alternative to jail

The reason SF’s leaders won’t do this is because they believe the drug dealers are victims of oppression, and that the police and criminal justice system are evil

Living in SF and other progressive West Coast cities stains all of us who live and pay taxes there since we are paying significantly to subsidize the killing of addicts, who are often people with untreated mental illness. In the name of compassion.

Victimology is a racist religion since it defines all people of color as victims — unless, of course, they are victims of other people of color, in which case they are presumed to have been acting with free will, even though they are hooked on the world’s most addictive drugs

Victimology is thus selectively racist but then racism has often been selectively applied.

This is the point where I’m supposed to add that everyone’s intentions are really good. But having raised the alarm, & been ignored & derided for doing so, I don’t really believe it
