People choose to believe what they want to believe.

Often it is not the truth.

When the truth is terrifying, many look for something to exploit to deny reality. The alternative is to pay attention and prepare for what’s coming down the pipe.

For too long skeptics and deniers have refused to consider the political machinations of those who call themselves conservative have crossed the line into authoritarian territory. Some make reference to it, but never actually label it accurately. Afraid of being wrong.

Afraid of criticism.

Afraid of being called a conspiracy theorist.

But several people have been warning of fascist extremism for years. Always criticized and ignored because if we are correct, the public has been complicit in turning a blind eye and denying reality.

Well guess what? If you’re just figuring out something is wrong, you’ve been in denial and lying to yourself.

No time to feel guilt or shame now. We need to get organized and look beyond our petty differences.

This is not a drill, it’s a direct threat to western democracy.

Remove the blinders and recognize there is a global threat of fascism. Authoritarians are coordinating their propaganda & gaslighting.

Much like Germany annexed Czechoslovakia, Austria & Poland in WW2 era, the dominant US would annex Canada for its abundant natural resources.

Not the Democrats. The compromised Republicans.

Trump pardoned several criminal actors who are continuing to plan the coup d’état of the US government. Many Canadian cons are complicit.

Alberta UCP being the most obvious support of seditious GOP propaganda & behaviour.

Jared Yates Sexton has been documenting the decent into fascism in the US for a few years. He published an apt warning today.

The far right is calling for a theocratic dictatorship repeatedly.

This is no joke. About 1/2 of the American public believes Trump won the election.

And the bad actors Trump pardoned are hard at work rallying the troops.

That includes Canadian consumers of this propaganda.

Again, this is not a drill. It’s happening and the public must prepare for another attempt at a coup.

While the primary target is Capitol Hill, Canada is at risk as well. A vast majority of “conservative” politicians and supporters are in favour of a coup that eliminates democratic principles, liberalism, humanism and human rights & freedoms in favour of authoritarian rule.

It’s called Ordered Liberty.

And it’s supported by the majority of American and Canadian “conservative” politicos.

It doesn’t matter if you believe it’s happening. It is. The far right is working overtime to manipulate belief in conspiracies to motivate violent action.

They haven’t set a date that I’m aware of, but the rallies taking place across the US are replete with threats of violence, calls for armed insurrection and heavily overlaid in religious extremism and dogma.

Take a look for yourself. It’s documented everywhere on Twitter.

Here is General Flynn overtly proclaiming the US must be one religion. Like KKK clansmen before him. He and Republican fascists have claimed “America First” as their clarion call. A KKK slogan from past years.

The similarity to Nazi rallies in pre and post Nazi Germany are not an accident.

Inciting hatred & violence was the tactic Hitler used as well. Hitler didn’t rely as much on religious zealotry though. That’s a new addition and terrifying to say the least. Who challenges faith?

Those of us in the public who stand opposed to a theocratic state better challenge this bastardized version of faith. Or North America will look like this in no time.

Nazi Germany rallies even had a name. The Nuremberg Rallies.

This also isn’t the first time the US has been down this path. Support for fascism and Nazis was overt during the lead up to WW2.

Enormous rallies were held across the US as well.

Don’t forget Austria welcomed the Nazis annexation in 1938.

Attempts at coups were defeated, but ultimately Austria willingly joined Nazi Germany.

How was this done? Propaganda, rallies to incite support, secret fifth column cells within Austria.

Czechoslovakia was also annexed. By force. It was a little bit at a time. First the Sudetenland and then the rest of the country. More than one dictator claimed parts of Czechoslovakia. It was carved up and occupied by those in support of fascism and totalitarian rule.

Of particular heinous violence was the destruction of Lidice. Fascists rule by fear.

No one in Lidice had committed a crime. But a scapegoat was needed to retaliate for the attack on the Nazi Reich Protector Heydrich.

Challenge to Nazi rule was discouraged by fear.

We do not have the luxury of waiting to vote out UCP in 2023. Once a fascist regime is in power, it’s very difficult to remove them from power. And as we can see from events occurring in the US, it’s very difficult to keep them from attempting a coup d’état.

Every day Kenney and UCP consolidate more power and rally their support base. Canada Strong and Free (Manning Centre), JCCF and several Dominionist conspiratorial agitators continue to hold rallies and foment rage and hatred among UCP base supporters.

So you can choose to believe what you want. Reality isn’t impacted by your beliefs. It can only be impacted by unified public action.

We have confirmation that UCP is playing the long game. They’re 100% on board with American Fascist GOP objectives.

Whether you see it or not.

I warned this is who the Wildrose & loyal AB PCs were before they merged & became UCP. I warned after the election that incremental policies moved Alberta towards fascism.

I wasn’t exaggerating or embellishing.

The Dominionist political movement is inherently fascist.

Now the cat is out of the bag. We’re going to have great difficulty getting fascism back in the bag (metaphor for removed from power). But we can if we work together in a united purpose and ignore specific demands.

That’s what we should be focussed on. How do we remove UCP?
