Expect this map to pass the Ohio Senate Local Govt & Elections committee and get a floor vote tomorrow (11/16) then House Gov't Oversight committee Wednesday and floor vote Thurs.

Ohio Redistricting Commission hearing in Warrensville Heights has begun. Democrats expected to offer an amendment to the maps. You can follow along here. ohiochannel.org/live/special-e…
Democrats are offering their proposed amendments, which would give them 42 House and 13 Senate seats.

Mark Erhardt says he wanted Republicans and Democrats to work together on a map before the commission voted to accept one. He also wants commission members to look at citizens' maps.
@GovMikeDeWine Dan McCarthy, a former FirstEnergy lobbyist, was president of Partners for Progress between 2017 and late 2018. In 2019, he was chosen to lead DeWine's legislative efforts.
McCarthy, in a statement, said he "was not aware of anything illegal or unethical" at Partners.
