Found my old extended hard drive from grad school

Found my dissertation outline. Brings back interesting memories ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
And it really was

I had so many people to thank. Some still here. Some long gone ๐Ÿ•Š
Wow. Almost 5 years ago.

Time flies man.
I have over 500+ research papers on this hard drive.

Many of them having to do with biological chemistry.

Hereโ€™s an interesting one that you should read when you get a chance.
You know how when you come home after a long time away and your find an old box of things from a past life

And you open it and instantly get transported back to that time?

Thatโ€™s what it feels like opening this.
Ive done and accomplished a lot

I still have the same passion to continue. Thank. God.

We had a seminar yesterday.

Really smart guy from Wyoming investigating acidity and basicity in C-H activation. Very similar to what we do

Remember when I said Iโ€™d been stuck in a rut earlier?

Well most of that is because Iโ€™ve been trying for months to stop a side reaction
As I watched the seminar and saw all of the work that had been referenced in this field, I realized that I didnโ€™t really need to stop the side reaction (yet)

What we have already is still fresh. Still innovative, and still pretty fuckin cool.

And we should publish it.
Sometimes you need to see what others are doing in your field to gain perspective about where you are

When you try for a really long time to figure out a problem and you keep missing, itโ€™s difficult to continue to tell yourself to try again.

Almost everything that happened to the chickens in this paper is happening to us right now and they had strong evidence it would happen. 6 years this paper has been out.
From an email I sent to my list a few months ago

I wonder how my students are gonna do on their test tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜…

Yes they had a study guide. No it wasnโ€™t over all the material on the test. Test 1 avg was in the high 60s out of 105

What yโ€™all think the average gon be?
This is the key for their study guide ๐ŸŒš (they already have it) ImageImageImage
One of my students almost never comes to class

Iโ€™ve seen him maybe 4-5 times this semester

Pops up and gets a B on this test

Not even mad at it ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Had a great time visiting my fam but man am I ready to be home ๐Ÿก
I know I missed some of my atl friends this trip Iโ€™ll catch yโ€™all during Christmas ๐Ÿ˜‚
I went to go visit my grandmaโ€™s grave while I was home and it made me think

Why do we visit graves? Itโ€™s pretty obvious that the soul youโ€™re visiting is long gone. Youโ€™re only in the presence of a shell.

Or do the souls know we come back to visit and meet us there?

What you should understand about the stances different states are taking is due to whether legal protection would be easy or difficult to contest in court
Look at the states that are in white and then look at where the mandates are happening. Should be pretty obvious why.

Yes this is for school immunizations, but things like this are used as to argue for or against in court. ImageImageImageImage
