What is something you learned the hard way?

You probably had an emotional reaction and thus, remember the incident well.

I’m at my parents’ for dinner and the BBQ grill is broken.

We have 4lb of raw ribs, an already-full oven, and two stressed out parents.

Kitchen challenges make me feel so alive.

Impromptu thread on what we’ll do next…
Ribs are tough meat.

So I’m thinking about how we can tenderize it and then finish it on high heat in the oven.

I ask for a pressure cooker. We have one!
We also need a small wire rack that’ll fit in the pressure cooker.

Plus, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and liquid smoke.

I am surprised we have all of these supplies. Btw, liquid smoke is gonna be your culinary secret weapon. Buy a bottle at the grocery or online. Stubbs liquid smoke

I've been on 30 podcasts or webinars in the past 6 months.

Guest speaking is really hard.

But that's a good thing.

Because it's easy to stand out.

Here's how:
1/ Help the host prep.

Doesn't matter if they invited you, or you pitched yourself.

Ultimately, how you represent yourself is on you.

Suggest 2-3 topics in advance. These should represent your interests and expertise, and be in line with the show's premise.

How?
2/ Listen to past episodes. Or watch past webinars.

Pick 2-3 to get a sense of style and format.

Better yet, ask the host what their fave episode was.

Ask yourself: What are you uniquely qualified to say that previous guests haven't said?
