I geek out by planning my content strategy

I have been doing it for the past year ✅

and I have created a system to generate FOOLPROOF ideas 💡

Here's a breakdown of my 4 step system from IDEATION to CREATION

Do 'RETWEET' if you find this interesting.

@Its_Me_Jaga_Duh Image
I have set myself a goal of reaching 10k followers on Twitter

and 30k followers on LinkedIn by the end of this year

As soon as I set this goal, I was sure about one thing

I was never going to achieve this goal without priority, persistence and a foolproof process
So I set about to create a process that would help me get to reach this goal

My focus was on creating content about writing, creativity and my journey as a content creator
The action items I had to do was simple

Get 1 post out on each platform every day

(I've now bumped it up to 2 posts on LinkedIn and 1 thread on Twitter) 🚀

Follow @Its_Me_Jaga_Duh if you want to see more threads like this
I also had to make sure this was revolved around content creation

and not just anything Random :)
Here's the 4 step process I set down for myself

1. Create an Idea Bank to collect all the ideas 📝
2. Create a questionnaire to filter the best ideas ❓❔
3. Create a content calendar to map out my ideas 📅
4. Create a graph to record my progress 📈
STEP - 1: Create an Idea Bank to collect all my ideas

I use Google Keep to note down literally everything

So naturally, that was my go-to for the Idea Bank 🏦 Image
I created two new boards

One for LinkedIn

and one for Twitter

If you're just starting out you can do with one board too. ImageImage
I read a lot

So whenever I read something interesting, I would note that down here

I also let my mind wander a lot

If I jump upon an interesting thought

I note that down as well

That helped me develop a list with a ton of ideas 🏋️
2. Create a questionnaire to weed out your best ideas

Ideas are only good if they are helpful or entertaining to your audience

I created this system out of a need to find great ideas among good ones
Great content creators never share this secret 😭

But from million ideas, you can only execute on a few

and you need to have to process to make sure you select the right ideas

Not always

But at least most of the time!
This is my process or '4 questions' to weed out great ideas from the good ones

In a way that fits my audience

and takes me closer to my goals Image
Check this post by @JustinSaaS 's to read about this in detail: Image
He talks about this in detail.

But here's the main screenshot I want you to take a look at

Once you have passed the first 3 questions, use this screenshot to determine what kind of post this will be

TRUST ME

This makes your job as a content creator a whole lot easier Image
When you want to become a great content creator, you have to pay heed to your ideas

Don't execute on all your ideas ❌
Have a system to seperate the 'best' ideas from the 'okay' ideas

Look at your ideas like an investor does at his investments

They don't invest in everything

But only in things they know might work
You can never be sure that your selected idea will work

But having a process like this gets you DAMN close to ideas that will work!
3. Create a content calendar to map out your ideas

A content calendar helps you go from

'What the fuck am I going to do today?'

TO

'This is exactly what I need to create for today' Image
If you're serious about content creation 😒

Create a content calendar for yourself 🗓️

This is essential if you are an overthinking ass like me 😅
Here is a calendar I created after weeding out the best ideas from this list

Here's a link to the current calendar. You can definitely make a copy of it and use it if needed

LAST STEP BELOW ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
4. Create a way to track your results

I once heard @noahkagan say, 'what gets measured gets grown!'

That stuck with me since
If you're serious about this

setup a chart or even a simple table to measure your progress

Here's a sample chart and table I have set up to measure my progress ImageImage
This is a basic chart and is still in progress. 🚧

But it's all you need to get started!
You can do with the very basic points like

No of followers and impressions/ views to get started
I would recommend every content creator to set up something like this for themselves too!

This chart and table is very basic and still a work in progress

But it helps me understand my growth

and take a look at what worked

and what isn't working!
So that was my 4 step process to creating content CONSISTENTLY

TL;DR

1. Create an Idea bank
2. Create a questionnaire to weed out great ideas from the good ones
3. Create a content calendar to plan your week
4. Create a simple graph to track your progress
and FINALLY

Execute

Planning is great

But the execution is where you move the meter

Execute the crap out of your ideas

Life lessons I learnt from Pixar's Guide to storytelling

Principle #1

'You admire a character for trying more than for their successes'

'RETWEET' if you think this is something you enjoy reading

Here we go

⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Think about all the heroes or characters you've fallen in love with

I'll go first

Optimus Prime - The guy literally put humans and earth before
his home planet, Cybertron

John Mcclane - Fights bad guys even without any expectations
Spiderman, Superman & Batman -They Fight bad guys and try to uphold justice

even when the whole city shits on them

I read the 13 paradoxes of Modern life by @david_perell

That got me thinking about the paradoxes we face as content creators

and one of the most famous paradoxes is

QUANTITY eventually paves the way for QUALITY

Here's a thread exploring it

⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
But what is a paradox?

I believe this picture explains it better
The paradox of 'Quantity gives Quality'

I've heard many modern creators and writers mention "quantity paves the way for quality"

But higher quantity effectively means lower quality

Trying to increase quality with the same bandwidth has an inverse effect on the quality
