/ The House of Commons opens this week and we are ready with an active agenda to help Canadians. I will work collaboratively with all parties. Canadians want action, not political bickering. Let’s work together, without delay, to get things done. #cdnpoli
/ There are four priority areas where our government will take action in coming days with legislation. I am calling on all MPs to work with us to ensure these priority bills are passed before Christmas. #cdnpoli
/ Canadians continue to be financially impacted by the #COVID19 pandemic. We have announced new measures for benefits as we transition out of the crisis. Canadians need Parliament to ensure that the plan is put into law quickly. #cdnpoli
/ Our health care workers on the front lines are taking care of us as #COVID19 continues. They should not have to worry about threats and harassment. We will move to protect them with legislation. #cdnpoli
/ We will take leadership with action to provide 10-day sick leave for federally regulated workers. They should not have to choose between going to work or paying their bills. #cdnpoli
/ Conversion therapy damages people and perpetuates harmful anti-LGBTQ2 stereotypes. It should be banned. In the last Parliament, the House passed a bill to do this, but it died in the Senate. There is no reason for further delay, let’s quickly pass a new bill. #cdnpoli
/ As MPs return to the House this week, #COVID19 is still a threat. We should reinstate the hybrid approach that worked so well this year. MPs will have flexibility to work and vote in the chamber or virtually. This is necessary as COVID case counts fluctuate. #cdnpoli
