Instead, we have nothing - Zilch, Nada. One of the doctor it seems has the entire family infected.
The colleagues & the staff know & the departments are functioning routinely, single or part masking.
Can we expect anything better from common people on the streets?

Had it been upto me, I would have Isolated the staff, traced & informed patients who would have been in touch with them, understood the source, immediately got down to assess the mask mandates & infection control procedures.
This makes me extremely angry because this attitude of inaction, apathy & indifference within hospitals is what existed in March 2020 & this how we failed to check spread & in Bloody 20 months - We (neither govts nor medical community) haven’t learned a thing.
And then when cases suddenly, start popping up, we will all blame vaccines & incidents & lack of preparedness BUT when we can - We Won’t Act.
If the thread doesn’t make any sense to you, it is okay because it can’t because it can make sense only to those who take public health & infection control seriously & have seen test, trace & isolate work & only they can understand the outrage that I currently experiencing

At friggin 30 cases, 30 cases damn it this city cannot ensure that their Test, Trace & Isolate compliance is good especially if there are doctors in play.
It efffing doesn’t matter that their symptoms are mild because they can transmit in hospital settings which is dangerous.

Both work in separate ICUs!!! Which means high risk area & those at risk are also vulnerable patients.
This is how variants develop, this is how chain transmission happen - Due to such callous indifference & inaction.

And, there should special penal provisions for Hospital heads & Medical Superintendents who in such cases fail to - 1) Test, Trace, Isolate all exposed in house & out patient contacts 2) Provide paid isolation leaves to staffs 3) conduct mass RAT on Day 1,3,5,7,10 & 15 on site.
Also, it beats me - Why do we not have a countrywide Test, Trace & Isolate system in place 20 months into an infectious disease pandemic of this scale which doesn’t just focus on individual cases, but also looks into their travel & contacts.
