Making $15 USD/day, and using 1700 Watts, the system creates a current "subsidy" of $450/month 💰
A tank with an indirect heat-exchanger is placed upstream of an on-demand water heater, allowing the system to work even when the miners are offline.
@The_SLIC_Expert's immersion fluid passes through the heat exchanger until the water is fully-heated. The on-demand heater doesn't kick on at all once this happens. A temperature probe sends input to the #rasberrypi controller monitoring the tank.
Once the water is heated to 60° C, programmable valves switch the flow to the "air loop".
The "air loop" uses an inline fan and two heat-exchangers to capture the heat and push it into the house's ducting system. The warm air trickles through the vents, causing the furnace to run less often.
In the winter❄️, the heat is used directly in the existing ducting system. In the summer☀️, motorized dampers direct the warm air out the chimney, and out of the house.
The integrated system replaces hydrocarbon heating, with electric heating. All while mining Bitcoin. Double-spending #Bitcoin might be impossible @aantonop, but double-spending your energy bill is great fun!
