Seeing the NL in black (level 4) is incredibly triggering. This crisis was both preventable and predictable. It is a deliberate policy decision to allow for mass infection,maximum mortality and hospital collapse so long as the country reaches the “herd immunity threshold “🧵

When Rutte et. al supported by institutions and media, decided to pursue “herd immunity” primarily through mass infection of 17+ million people, they inadvertently opened the gates of hell.

Misinformation repeated enough over various forms of media directly results in a population unable to protect themselves and behave appropriately. It accomplishes the goal of mass infection at the expense of social cohesion and the near certainty of hospital collapse.

Rutte et. al , the RIVM and the media — under the guise of decency, normalcy and proper decorum — violated the social contract of protecting the public’s health and welfare. The polarization, rioting and social unrest is a direct consequence of the mass infection policy.
