As I travel across our state, one topic continues to come up in conversation: cannabis. And whether we should #legalizeit in Texas is an important debate we ought to be having.

I know where I stand: I am in support of legalized recreational and medicinal #cannabis in Texas. 1/7
Why is that?
✳️ Legalized recreational & medicinal cannabis will be a money maker for TX. How does 30,000 permanent jobs, $1.1 billion in revenue to add to the state budget & $300 million statewide savings for police & prosecutors sound? It sounds like smart progress to me. 2/7
✳️ #Cannabis provides our veterans & those suffering from illness a wellness alternative to addicting opioids.
✳️ Legalized cannabis will fund our police & courts by removing a wasteful, petty prosecution & turn this cash crop into a profit center for a growing state. 3/7
✳️ And finally, I must simply ask: how many young lives, principally lives of color, are we going to permanently burden & put in private prisons so that people can make a profit off of their incarceration? We, as Texans, must stand up & demand better. 4/7
I have campaigned all across our state sharing my plan to legalize cannabis in Texas and protect responsible cannabis use by adults.

We must demand common sense solutions from our elected officials. #Cannabis legalization is a solution that will make a difference in the lives of Texans. For medical treatment. For criminal justice reform. For jobs. For all of these reasons & more, I support cannabis reform. 6/7

- The Whistleblowers
- The FBI Investigation
- The frivolous Supreme Court filing
- The January 6 Insurrection

Ken Paxton’s contempt for the rule of Law and utter lack of accountability for his lawlessness is a stain on the Lone Star Flag. Paxton must not earn a third term in office. 2/6

#Juneteenth becoming a national holiday is a good step in the right direction & I applaud President Biden & Congress for its passage. I also want to thank & honor Opal Lee, an amazing 94-year-old grandmother, for her tireless efforts to bring Juneteenth national recognition.
However, there is much work to be done in our pursuit of #absoluteequality. We will continue to fight to dismantle systemic racism & racial injustice. To demand economic equality & voting access for ALL American citizens.
Our work is far from done and I am committed to doing the hard, necessary work to move closer to the American ideal of “liberty and justice for all.”

Ken Paxton’s criminal, unethical and self-dealing behavior in office has cost Texas dearly, and he does not deserve another term. I’m glad to see George P. Bush and other Republicans agreeing with my assessment. 1/4
The Texas AG Republican primary, unfortunately, isn’t going to solve the root problem here: The contest between Paxton and Bush will be for Donald Trump’s endorsement, not to determine who’s best for Texas. 2/4
I’m running to serve all Texans as an ethical Attorney General, and I look forward to facing and defeating Mr. Trump’s hand-picked candidate in the 2022 general election. 3/4

It is our responsibility to vote and elect our leaders. We cannot allow corrupt politicians to hold elected office. With three felony indictments, we must let @KenPaxtonTX know that no one is above the law.

I will fight for Texans as @TXAG. I will be the people’s attorney.
My focus will be on:
✅ Turning Paxton's voter fraud division in a Voter Access Division
✅ Ensuring civil rights for you and your family
✅ Expanding Medicaid, and investigating and suing corrupt health insurance companies
✅ Supporting cities, counties, and school districts in their local decision-making authority
