Throwback to the 90s when liberal feminists successfully argued that a ban on filmed rape would censor nude art as well as education on sex, health, maternity, homosexuality etc. We got the world full of porn that they wanted and it harms... everything they sought to defend.
I can't think of a single medium spreading more harmful lies about sexuality, sexual health, etc. than porn. It's normalized strangulation, violent anal sex & much more - not condoms. To many young people "lesbian" is not a sexual orientation but a porn genre. So is "pregnancy".
I can't count all the women and girls I know personally who have survived (filmed) sexual assault where acts were specifically inspired by pornography. And yet the pro-porn "feminists" are still out there blathering about how porn "liberates female sexuality". Wake the fuck up.
Nobody is saying male violence didn't exist prior to porn. We're saying porn springs from rape culture and perpetuates it (as well as racism, pedo culture, etc.), it emboldens and inspires violent men to new heights of cruelty. It teaches boys objectification and aggression.
And all you need to do to confirm this for yourself is to speak to teenage girls. And tbh porn culture starts affecting us earlier and earlier. It started touching my life at 12. I now know kids even younger than that who were either exposed to porn or pornified pop culture.
There's so much to say. I can't cover it all now. But I need people to believe women & girls who are saying that we're in a state of emergency. We're on the cusp of deep fake tech being available to masses of men and boys. How do you think a generation raised on porn will use it?
For those who have not heard the term #deepfake before: technologyreview.com/2021/02/12/101… This technology means that in the foreseeable future any woman or girl can have her face superimposed onto the body of a woman in porn and yes - it will look real!

Listening to this: open.spotify.com/episode/5dKUE2… The women discussing the filmed & widely distributed rape of women by the criminal network "Girls Do Porn" just said there's nothing wrong with porn consumers desire for women who are "fresh first timers" like its not about power & abuse
I hate liberal choice feminism so much. There are things that are harmful even with superficial consent. Putting women who don't have a clue how manipulative & violent pornographers are on a set is objectively abusive. Its misogynists obsession with "deflowering" ie rape culture.
The women in the podcast just claimed that pornographers manipulating, lying to and trafficking women is a "huge outlier". What a fucking lie. How many more whistleblowers do you need? Did you just wake up to this this year? Apparently yes. Absolutely irresponsible reporting.

Just read another story of a woman exploited in German prostitution for years whose health was in such a state that she looked ill and decades older than she was. Still not a single "sex" buyer ever asked if she needed help or informed any authority about her distress.
When "sex" buying is legal not only do men feel emboldened to buy access to women they also feel they have no more responsibility towards her than "a customer of any service". You go in, get what you paid for and leave. Her health, well being, mental state - none of his business.
The law in Germany concurred with this: Until 2017 it wasn't a crime to pay to rape trafficked women, because "the customer" can't be held responsible for the situation of the "service provider". That's what #sexworkiswork does: Crushes sexual ethics in favour of the free market.

Am I loosing my mind or does a significant number of people who view themselves as leftists truly believe that prisons should be mixed sex?? I've seen repeated arguments today that since female on female violence exists we could just let men in. Wtf is wrong with these people?
I'll repeat myself: The acceptable number of women raped in prison is 0. The acceptable number of transwomen raped in prison is also 0. Since its impossible to tell who will be a threat to women (though convicted for rape is a strong indicator) third spaces is the only solution.
Also as always the vast majority of women, men and trans people in prison don't belong there and should be freed immediately. Non violent offenders without a doubt. People (esp women) convicted for acting in self defense - without a doubt. Rapists and batters should rot though.

Germany's new government is doing the absolute minimum for abortion rights - decriminalizing doctors who inform on availability & methodology of procedures - and in the same breath drafting plans to legalize "altruistic" egg donation & surrogacy pushed for by the Neoliberal Party
I say "altruistic" cause when Austria legalized egg donation that way there was a mysterious influx of Eastern European women coming to the country for this exact purpose - because commercial reproductive exploitation masquerades as "altruistic" but works through backdoor payment
It's specifically because I support women's rights to make free reproductive decisions that I vehemently oppose that the "free" market interfere. When you legalize surrogacy and egg donation - backdoor or front door - you exploit and put at risk the lives of impoverished women.

TW: R A P E!

Here are quotes by German men from the thread. German legal "sex" buying is one of the most shameful things my country is currently tolerating. We didn't criminalize paying to rape trafficking victims until 2017 (and have had 0 convictions since). ImageImageImage
It is really important that we come to understand that prostitution and sex trafficking are not separate AT ALL. They happen frequently in the same locations, women are advertised on the same websites and the same men purchase access to (and commit rape against) both groups.
Its impossible to legislate on prostitution without affecting sex trafficking & vice versa as Germany poignantly illustrates: If the man who pays is just a "client" then our law held for the longest time he can't be held accountable for the "service providers" circumstances.

Don't understand how Western academics studying global south women & kids exploited by "sex tourists" aren't embarrassed when they argue that these groups are "constructed as vulnerable". Socioeconomic power, white and male privilege are real everywhere - except here apparently🤡
Reading an article by a Candian "feminist" researcher interviewing women in Brazil, inc. favela communities, concluding that they're going through a "moral panic" and that really white men aren't doing any particular harm when they purchase access to women from these communities.
This Canadian "feminist" researcher is crying that women in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil who organized massed anti-rape protests were against "sex tourism" & had slogans like "We scream that we are women and not World Cup souvenirs, that we are women and not commodities." The gall
