Why is Israel supporting the ruthless military coup in Sudan? 👇🏾
The coup is mutually beneficial to both apartheid Israel & the Sudanese military dictatorship, who hope Israel will lobby the US on their behalf, legitimizing their control in Sudan.
Apartheid Israel favours a military take over of Sudan rather than a return to the democratically elected government for a clear reason.
A military coup bypasses parliamentary decisions, paving the way for broadly unpopular normalisation with the apartheid state.
Israel wants to override the will of the Sudanese people who stand firmly with Palestinians and reject normalisation with the apartheid state. Even as democracy crumbled in Sudan, protesters could be heard chanting solidarity slogans with Palestinians.
Israeli @NSOgroup is part of the global spyware trade which profits from repression.
Civil society is uniting to stop this. Activists in India, where 300+ names appeared on the target list of Pegasus, have launched this campaign. Join us! bit.ly/3E9VhU7
Here's why 👇🏾
In July 2021, #PegasusProject exposed the use of Israeli @NSOgroup's spyware against thousands of journalists, activists & politicians. Apartheid Israel is at the center of the spyware trade, which is repressive by design and field-tested on Palestinians.
Cambridge University has cancelled a £400M deal with the UAE dictatorship over its use of Pegasus against journalists and human rights defenders. All institutions must also end ties with apartheid Israel which produces this life-threatening technology.
Kenne Mwikya talks about Israel's ties with "conservative and anti-freedom elements" of Kenya.
People's solidarity lies with the Palestinian people, as both Africans and Palestinians have been under some form colonial oppression through history.
.@Nawajaa : Divestment and boycott campaigns are working. We hope sanctions against Israel will start from Africa, which can then have a rolling effect.
We know the BDS movement is working because Israel is trying to delegitimize and sabotage it but is failing at it.
.@Shokispeare "The GSR called for a resolution to recognize Israel's regime as apartheid and target sanctions including a military embargo
..it is our obligation to guarantee that our governments meet these demands across the African continent"
Israel's war crimes in Gaza are no accident. They are 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.
Lebanon 2006: Israel implemented a policy of extreme violence committing mass murder and destruction of civilian infrastructure in a Beirut suburb, after failing to crush the resistance.

2008: Israel formally adopted the 𝗗𝗮𝗵𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲, making disproportionate force against civilian populations the official policy of the army. The doctrine’s logic is that terrorizing civilians will force the resistance to stop.
UN Fact-Finding Mission on Gaza 2009 says 𝗗𝗮𝗵𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 involves "the application of disproportionate force & the causing of great damage & destruction to civilian property & infrastructure, & suffering to civilian populations," to deter resistance groups.

The Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism (JDA), despite its omission of representative Palestinian perspectives, provides an alternative to the fraudulent IHRA definition in the fight against anti-Jewish racism, discrimination and hostility.
The JDA largely respects freedom of expression related to the struggle for Palestinian rights, including BDS advocacy and opposition to Zionism & to Israel’s regime of occupation, settler-colonialism & apartheid.
Definitions alone cannot dismantle antisemitism. Progressives must commit to dismantling anti-Jewish racism alongside all other forms of racism and oppression. We endorse the following publication from progressive Jewish partners.
