Milking this "Good Greenwald Gone Bad" narrative is not only more grist for their substacks, it also serves to obscure their own inability to identify a lifelong cryptofascist taking ordinary, right-wing, libertarian (white supremacist) positions for twenty years.
He was always - at best - an "America First" libertarian. But mostly a rightwinger. It's really not complicated.
Being shameless hacks means never having to say you're sorry. Just pivot and keep moving.
Literally just a burning clown car of punditry.
"Eoin Higgins on how *a onetime radical* has become a Fox News conservative"
I couldn't be any less interested in any two people on earth's takes on Glenn Greenwald.
Higgins tried to call a general strike on twitter in a week's time - before Trump's inauguration - and when I told him he was an arrogant dipshit who didn't know what the fuck he was talking about and couldn't organize a PTA bake sale that quick - he blocked me for some reason...
And I didn't mean that to disparage PTA bake sales. Organizing that shit is work.
Anyway, I've been spared having to suffer whatever that Higgins dork has been up to ever since - but every once in awhile I see something like this podcast and am ecstatic that I got that block then.

All their trendy "reforms" were already in place *before* police murdered George Floyd. People had already seen bias training, chokehold bans, bodycameras, "warrior cop" training bans and even prosecutions of cops.
Nothing changed.
Derek Chauvin was a product of their most creative and progressive "police reform." That's kinda the point.
