Also known as the “feel-good” hormone.
Dopamine is a hormone that’s an important part of your brain’s reward system.
To increase dopamine levels:
- finish a task
- practice gratitude
- self-care activities
- daily body movement
- having a creative hobby
- organizing a simple to-do list
- eat more nuts, seeds, legumes, avocado, & bananas
Low levels of dopamine causes reduced motivation.
2. Serotonin.
This hormone helps regulate your mood as well as your sleep, appetite, digestion, learning ability, and memory.
To increase serotonin levels:
- cycling
- running
- massage
- meditation
- cold showers
- time in nature
- natural sunlight
- high energy workouts
- vitamin D + K supplements
- eating more oats, nuts, seeds, spinach & pineapples
Low levels of serotonin causes depression.
3. Oxytocin.
Often called the “love hormone,”.
This hormone can help promote trust, empathy, and bonding in relationships.

The first thing is the mindset towards meditation. There's a specific image that people have in their heads.
The sitting upright, cross legged on the floor image with absolutely no thoughts in your head is what people think meditation is.
It is meditation, but it's pretty advanced, & not good for beginners.
Number one, to meditate upright, u need perfect posture, which isn't going to be possible for the average person.
Ppl who do sports or some other athletic activity could sit like this, but not the layman.
