After talking it over w/Trapezoid, my stance on Hunter's laptop is:

1. Probably at least one email address or device of Hunter's really was compromised

2. Whoever provided the data to Rudy & co may have added forged items -- the Russians, e.g., did this w/Macronleaks in 2017...

3. Some of the Definitely Real Hunter Biden Emails I've seen floating around, in my judgment, *are* probably forgeries. Pretty crude ones at that!

This, for example, is just... not at all how humans talk, but it IS a bunch of red meat for GOP'ers who wanna gin up a scandal.

That said,

4. Some of the items will probably be genuine too (in Macronleaks a LOT of items were genuine -- and boring -- while a few hand-crafted fakes were meant to lob a grenade into the French election right before people went to the polls).

Macronleaks failed because the French press boycotted coverage of it. The Definitely Real Hunter Biden Laptop failed because the American press refused to cover it.

In each case, the press was right. In the US case, the story about its provenance was obvious bullshit.

A blind computer repairman who lives on the opposite coast from Hunter Biden just happens to have the data and gives it to Rudy Giuliani, to whom he has access somehow? Nah, hard pass on that. That's wet diarrhetic bullshit.

So the press rightly didn't trust ANY of the contents.

There's probably a parallel universe in which Rudy thought up a MUCH better cover story and the laptop became a mainstream news piece and maybe threw the election to Trump, who knows.

It was always a transparent ratfuck, though. And of clearly illegal origin to boot.

I'm just very curious to know who the REAL source of the data was and how it got into Rudy's tiny, grasping hands.
