I read an article by @bartongellman for @TheAtlantic about Trumps next coup attempt having already begun. The most significant part of this article, in my opinion, should be on everyone's mind now. What part is that? Ill tell you.
We have deluded ourselves into thinking the man with the horns is the example of the delusional Trump Supporter. As we saw with our own two eyes, even this person did not have any idea what he was getting into. We thought it was the Confederate Flag holding man. Not that either
What we are failing to see is highlighted in the article. The people happy to believe Donald Trump should be President and that his Presidency was stolen are doctors, nurses, CEO's etc. They are the people we expect to be logical and the people we expect to be intelligent.
I have met so many of these people myself as a healthcare worker. They will stand before you with all the medical knowledge in the world and leave you in awe. This knowledge that they have cannot afford to come from opinion because there are very real lives at stake. They wont
tolerate a person without knowledge in their presence because they see them as detrimental to a patients life. These VERY SAME PEOPLE will completely change when the subject of Trump emerges. Gone is the logical mind demanding facts and figures and evidence based practice.
Standing before you is a person convinced that an election was stolen. When asked for evidence all that you can ever get is: "Its there! Havent you been paying attention!?" I respond with:"Where?he lost every court case about voter fraud and he--" I get cut off as they attempt to
"Educate" me on the fact that NONE of those cases were dismissed because there was no evidence, but on technicalities. When asked where this evidence is today...I am told "its there!. Im not doing your homework for you!". I ask if they heard it on Hannity or Tuckers show. "Oh, so
you're one of those?" The doctor asks me. One of who you ask? Well, the mere mention of these two names reveals I am, according to them, someone blinded by "the media". Makes no sense to me, but I again ask where the evidence is. I get told its on social media but I have to look
No court cases are cited. No official evidence or tallies. No recounts to point to. The only actual evidence of voter fraud is a man in Pennsylvania that tried to vote for Trump in the name of his dead mom, but that is ignored completely. The dangerous thing about Trump?
I KNOW these people. I have worked with them long enough to KNOW they are smart. The willingness to believe without evidence is proof positive they are in a cult. There is no convincing them, and attempts to show what they believe is based on false information only strengthens
their belief that the evidence is there, but simply being suppressed. This notion that no legal means can be used to bring this evidence to light is where we must wake up. People convinced the truth is out there and they are one revelation from going from pitiful to Patriot...
