I launched a twitter consistency tool in two weeks.

This is the story of how I launched too late.

👇🏽
I’d been pushing myself to be more consistent on twitter.

Writing prompts have helped me the most.

This led to the idea of a service that nudges personal brands to tweet regularly - by emailing daily writing prompts and streaks.
So, along with the help of my talented friend @nikhilkachare01 I built @Pelicancall

We decided to work on this project for an hour everyday.

We launched in two weeks.
Then I discovered a substack newsletter by @HuaTweets that does the same thing..
I had hoped to launch very quickly, to get feedback from users who wanted to grow their twitter audience.

I wanted to test my idea.

I wanted to scratch my own itch, but at the same time build something that would become the foundation for a paid product.
The fastest way to test a new idea was to build a page with features and ask users to sign up.
We gave ourselves a strict development deadline of two weeks, which we followed.

But once I discovered the simplicity of the newsletter “IndieGrow”, I understood that there were simpler ways to test the idea out.
I was wrong to consider that developing software was the only way to go ahead.

For my next project I launched even faster - and used more no code

Testing out a product idea has always been something that I’ve strived for my clients to do.

I could have focused more on the writing out twitter prompts.

Instead of developing a system that does that automatically, especially wasting time on letting users log in with twitter.
Learning by doing is always a positive, even if the outcome of doing was negative.

Publishing a newsletter might be the easiest way to test your idea.

If are a creator who wants daily writing prompts, do try out @Pelicancall and the IndieGrow substack.
