Foley "these arrangements are modest". Fuckin understatement.
Holy shit he's now on the third dose booster. These people are insane.
OHMYGOD. "None of the people in hospital have had their booster".
Oh here we go. Sutton's back up in the limelight and LOVING it, absolutely frothing over the new variant.
Now Sutton's pushing the boosters. Hard.
Keeping the vx rules and pushing the booster. They're literally trying to start everything from zero.
This is sickening. Sutton is referencing behavioural studies they've done that of 330k unvxd, 150k just won't but they see the other % as basically being susceptible to pressure. This is absolutely foul. Nothing to do with science.
Foley and Sutton have now both dropped threatening comments about kids being vxd being important to 'keeping schools open'. This is just disgusting.
Why do we have another cherrypicked healthcare worker getting trotted out at a presser?
OH. He's frothing the boosters. That's why.
He's pushing the 'it's about protecting my family' line. This is disturbingly close to propaganda.
Now we're onto also mentioning so he can 'keep doing activities'. Wow that's subtle.
Foley "one word, Omicron, has changed the landscape".
These people are insane. They'll give none of this up voluntarily.
Journo asks about Xmas.
Foley says rules in place until 12th Jan and they'll reasses.

One asks if 'fully vxd' will change to having boosters. Foley deflects saying it's up to ATAGI but theres 'increasing evidence', mentions Israel, this may happen.
Sutton is LIVING for Omicron.
The delight on his face at this attention is as blatant as it is nauseating.

"Exactly what will drive numbers back down is yet to be determined". He needs to be removed from any position of management.
They're 100% hiding behind this variant for continuing their insanity.

Apparently lifting the wedding rules and kids is a 'social consideration'. But people being able to work isn't.
OMG. Sutton claims he isn't aware of any specific circumstances where children have suffered as a result of decisions by parents. Absolutely disconnected.
Journo asks about NSW changes.
Sutton 'all of those things are under review'. Useless response.
The presser just ended. Not even 45mins long. One of the shortest restriction update pressers we've ever had. Barely any questions from the journos.
This state is fucking cooked.

New Pandemic Orders are up.
Brief notes based off the main questions received.
In short - other than the under 18's being exempt now they changed very little except the fines, which are pretty outrageous.
Bizarrely, they did the exact same penalty units for 'failure to comply with an Order'. For ALL the orders. It's 60 units for a person, 300 units for a company. That's $10,898.4 and $54,492. The govt will now fine you over $10k for not wearing a mask. This is not a joke.
This is outlined under the Movement and Gathering Order which relates to mandating masks. The only exception to this is a 'restricted retail premises', which are defined as just beauty and hair - they're exempt from the mask mandate on site.

In comparison, the NSW presser "we're asking the community to take personal responsibility".
Dom is coming across confident. Tells journos to make sure they report on hospital numbers, not just cases.
"We trust our health system in NSW, we've invested in it heavily and we have confidence in our people".
This is like watching something from another country. Surreal.
He's openly hammering the media to stop focusing on case numbers and instead focus on hospital and ICU numbers. Talks about the importance of living alongside the virus and 'people taking personal responsibility'.

This is WILD.

Comments on the Pandemic Bill/ SOE ending, etc.
- yes, they will have something in place before midnight tomorrow, they didn't dog half of Parl getting the bill through to not use it.
- a lack of a clear plan and/or info 24hrs before is ridiculous, unnecessary & sloppy goverance.
- reminder that Dan is away so it'll be Foley & Merlino announcing whatever happens.
- had the first 🐦 come in about the mandates getting dropped. General rule is 3+ for validity. Stay tuned.
- NSW saying they won't change their plans only adds to the pressure for VIC to follow.
- dropping it all at high vx rates was always meant to be the national plan, not that this gets brought up very often 🙄
- under sect 165AP every Order must have docs published online (for the public to access) within 7 days that outline the following:

Bach asks Stitt, Min for Workplace safety, why they allowed MPs to run the debate for so long.
She tries to blame the Libs for delaying the debate.
'Those who elect us would expect us to do whatever it takes to pass legislation to protect health & safety'. #qt
Follows up asking if there's any workplace laws that allow for 25hours of work straight.
Stitt says 'well you care about health so much you should vote for everything we present in future on this'. Yes that was the final response.
Ondarchie *asks very short question if Min for local Govt supports renaming Moreland*.
Leane *yelling for 5min about slave plantation history in the state*.

Pandemic Bill officially kicks off. Comments below.
This stage kicks off with no running sheet, which is unusual. Davis makes a point of this, as well as the continual lack of wider consulatation in the community (again).
Davis listing off all the people in the community who have been affected, and will be affected, by these new powers who have not had the chance to speak and be heard. Wants a proper Parliamentary enquiry into the bill.
