After two years of regular use I suddenly discovered I could write music. It was not a skill I possessed prior. I'm not writing symphonies, just bass lines like the ones that got me into playing.
For nearly two decades I had a terrible fungal infection in my feet. Oral and topical medication for years had little to no effect. Huge callouses, nails falling off, numbness, I had no idea how to get rid of it.
On a hunch, I decarboxylated some cannabis in coconut oil and began soaking my feet in it. Within days the numbness disappeared. It took many months of treatment but eventually all the infection was gone, nails grew back, callouses normal.
Late last year I had a sleeping disorder and stomach issues from medication I had come off. I was using metamucil and probiotics and dealing with the sleeping problems. I thought I'd just have to deal with it.
The borders opened up and I did a cannabis run after many months off it. I partook and went to bed.
The sleeping problems vanished as did the stomach problems, overnight. They've not been issues since.
These are just the things I've discovered, sample size n=1. Anti carcinogenic. Anti seizure. Appetite enhancer. Pain reliever. The list is long.
This is the story of my gnosis. It is available from the link in my bio, but I'd like to detail it a bit more here.
It was mid 1999. At this point I was effectively atheist. Technically agnostic, but I didn't sweat it. I was unconcerned about God.
I had spent my youth extricating myself from evangelical Christianity. I viewed all religions as the same. I'd taken the best of Christianity, discarded the rest and was just living my life unconcerned with such matters.
#Morality is subjective and relative. What is good for one is evil for another. A yardstick is required.
Some would use their holy books in that capacity. That is a terrible idea. Such texts are replete with moral and logical errors.
A thread:
The yardstick must be fair for all. To this end, the Golden Rule is the best yardstick. Treat others the way you would be treated. Place others ahead of yourself and your beliefs. Give the respect to others you would expect.
The antithesis of this, selfishness at the expense of others, is the definition of moral crime. It is the root of all evil. The basis of every evil committed by humanity.
