As we enter 2022, we're focused on moving toward our goal along 3 parallel tracks:

1- purchasing carbon-free energy
2- advancing new technologies
3- advocating for better public policy

Through this, we’re also supporting a growing ecosystem w/ solutions+tools to drive change

In 2021, @Google purchased nearly a gigawatt of new carbon-free energy around the world, including first-of-their-kind deals w/ @TheAESCorp in Virginia and @ENGIEgroup in Germany. These deals can provide a #GoCarbonFree 24/7 blueprint for others. blog.google/around-the-glo…

Decarbonizing electricity grids requires rapid development of technologies to fill the gaps when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining. In 2021, we announced an exciting next-gen geothermal project w/ @fervoenergy to do just that. cloud.google.com/blog/products/…

Policy innovation is critical to creating a carbon-free future for all. In 2021 @Google joined a group w/ @cleanaircatf to urge the US Federal Government to adopt a 24/7 carbon-free energy purchasing goal. This was recently adopted through an Exec Order

At #UNGA in Sept, @SEforALLorg + @Google launched a global Compact of companies, govts, and orgs working together towards a 24/7 CFE future for all. Momentum kept building thru #COP26 and now this important #GoCarbonFree effort has over 50 signatories GoCarbonFree247.com
