1/ THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4629: This event was the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. Hitler was watching a track and field race (one of the sprint events).
2/ While it's possible Hitler's movement was due to side effects from illicit drugs (he was absolutely an addict), it's much more likely this movement was him simply being psychologically involved in the race.
3/ People often behave similarly, i.e. — when they're watching a player *on 'their' team* trying to catch a ball/score a goal and they don't quite make it.
4/ In the English speaking regions of the world, this behavior is sometimes colloquially referred as 'Body English'.
5/ We also often react similarly when we're watching a film. We become involved. The observer becomes part of the participant. This is an epiphenomenon of 'Mirror Neurons'.
Ω
6/ Addendum: Although this behavior resembles 'stimming', it's not. In the short clip (this clip is even looped) it can resemble stimming, but this is mirroring behavior.
7/ The vast majority of stimming behavior is displayed by Autistic people. And it's important to make the distinction that all behaviors that may resemble stimming are not stimming.
8/ Stimming is performed in an effort to self calm, to relieve anxiety or other negative heightened emotions, or to help block some environmental stimuli.
9/ Although stimming was also originally a slang, it's now used so commonly in the Autism community, that it has become largely formalized in the literature.
10/ If you watch the audience during a track and field event or other athletic events, the behavior seen in this example is common.
11/ Moreover, historians have never implicated Hitler was on the autism spectrum.
ΩΩ
12/ Hitler was extremely self-conscious about having only one (descended) testicle. He would routinely cover his groin and would frequently hold his arm/hand near his genital region — a manifestation for his need for protection, emotional discomfort, and vulnerability.

1/ THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4628: Marjorie Taylor Greene's response to Jim Banks testimony regarding past bombing and domestic terrorism. c-span.org/video/?c499200…
2/ In the above short video, Rep. Jim Banks (R-03) is speaking regarding a past event (1983) of domestic terrorism. Banks's statement here was given on December 14, 2021 in the U.S. House Chamber during the House Select Committee Hearings regarding the January 6th Attack.
3/ Banks's behavior here demonstrates two examples of 'Whataboutism' (a common method of attempting to discredit another person/group by accusing them of hypocrisy). Banks does this in an effort to distance Republicans from any involvement in the January 6th Attack.
1/ If you look carefully at a small segment of this video, between 2:53:37 - 2:53:44, near the end of #JimJordan's testimony today, you'll see his right thumb exhibit a high frequency, low amplitude tremor. #BodyLanguage#January6thCommittee
2/ This high frequency, low amplitude tremor could be caused by:
• A medical condition
• A Pharmaceutical side effect
• Behavioral (Body Language secondary to anxiety)
3/ Be careful to not confuse a Loose Tongue Jut with either a Tight Tongue Jut or a Wide Open Tongue Jut (each of which indicate entirely different thought-emotions).
1/ THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4627 (Response to query): "When a man stares at me I stare right back. I hold the stare until they look away. They get upset. Someone explain this interaction scientifically." #BodyLanguageExpert#BodyLanguage#EmotionalIntelligence
2/ Short Answer: They're probably attracted to you, but they're quickly intimidated by your non-look away, the strength it implies, and your non-intimidation.
3/ In their worldview, women are supposed to acquiesce and look away in this context. But you don't. They don't know how to interpret your response.
1/ THREAD: Whenever you come across anyone who seems like they're character-acting their lives (or chunks of it), they probably are. There's a good chance they'r a sociopath-psychopath (APD), Narcissist, or Histrionic Personality Disorder.
2/ Some examples of this behavior in public life include:
• Ted Cruz
• Mike Pence
• Jacob Rees-Mogg
• Kyrsten Sinema
• Scott Morrison
• Damn near everyone on Trump's cabinet
3/ These people really give you the feeling they're acting — B grade acting, yes — almost satirical acting — hyperbolic (think melodramatic child-actor, only in this case, as adults).
2/They've been a couple for a while now, but some people are still making a kerfuffle about the height difference between @Zendaya and @TomHolland1996.
3/ The two A-list actors co-star in "Spider-man: No Way Home". Zendaya's height is listed as 180.3 cm (5'11"), (although some report a bit shorter), while Holland's is 172.7 cm (5'8").
