China, the Forrest Gump of Covid Response

Omicron has begun to spread very quickly and is plunging the West into uncertainty. Nobody knows how it will play out in the next few months. People are on the verge of nervous breakdown because the Western governments keep changing

their discourses. Chinese politicians don't have as slippery tongues as Western politicians, but
China is by far best positioned to deal with the variant because it doesn't have to change course or do anything special. She only needs to do what she has been doing from the very

beginning, ie, quarantine all the incoming travellers and regularly sample test the population and closely monitor to discover the earliest cases and nip them in the bud. China's consistency and regularity of its Covid policy has the benefit of being reassuring to the population.

The Chinese government elaborated its comprehensive Covid management strategy based on experts' advice from the beginning and stuck to the main principles unswervingly.

Every prognostic and recommendation of the Chinese government has turned out to be sound and valid.

China's Covid environment is not polluted by propaganda, lies, hidden agendas, big pharma's interests etc.
The Chinese people trust their government. Such general trust and serenity is good for its economy (BTW, there's no genocide in China, only life saving policies).

Everyone goes about their business with serenity, going to work, going out to consume taking it for granted that the government has everything under control.

It's exactly the opposite in the West. Now western countries are closing their borders and resuming lockdown

measures. They no longer talk about coexistence with the virus even though some (UK) said they were prepared for the sacrifice of a few fragile lives. No western media is urging China to open up its borders now. Situations always seem to happen to prove China is right.

The frequent change of course and discourse is profoundly disturbing to the western population.

Just a few months ago, they were told that mass vaccination will definitively terminate the pandemic, which turned out to be false. Situation went from bad to worse in places where

vaccination rate is the highest, but the western solution to the Omicron is imposing booster vaccine shots. However, if vaccine hasn't stopped Delta, it will be even less likely for it to stop Omicron. People are now urged to have booster shots every 4 months, failing which

they can't go anywhere or even be fired. This arouses revolt. So on top of the Pandemic, there's political turmoil fermenting.

In the best scenario, the status quo will last a few more months before the virus begins to fade eventually.

Western nations serve as a live laboratory for China. West is always lecturing China high handedly. China is willing to learn from the West. But if there's one disaster after another, one botched job after another, what point is there for China to adopt the Western ways?

To cope with the depressing reality of China's super performance in Covid management, Western solution is boosting anti-China propaganda. Western solutions are always the wrong solutions which only make situations more catastrophic. Covid has destroyed Western prestige.
