I've been quiet too long.
Today's events were a distraction by our fascist provincial gov't to make people stop talking about:

- millions of rapid COVID tests that they are holding back to enfore a false scarcity to destabilize public health care and promote private health care

our Premier's blatantly false rhetoric that the hostile takeover of ATRF is OK b/c it is backed by public funds when it is not, it's backed by the teacher stakeholders, laws were changed to ensure this #handsoffmypension

.@JustinTrudeau offered premiers help to proactively battle #Omicron on Dec 11 but was told no thanks, using argument that it is provincial responsibly - all deaths from now are squarely on these premiers

Devinder Toor is still an MLA even after $15000 in election fraud fines

#ResignSeanChu is still a #ycc councillor

Quebec and BC are tightening restrictions due to #Omicron and we can have totally unvaccinated people gather because we don't want family arguments and people aren't going to follow rules anyway so why even try

Bringing up 15 year old teacher discipline issues that @albertateachers was the only party involved to handle 100% correctly to discredit "union bosses" to foster distrust in public education to drive private, charter and home schooling which all contribute and support the party

Deliberately starve post secondary institutions of funds to dimish their influence and reduce the number of critical thinking students and "Laurentian elites" that have the capacity to properly critique the gov't and show everyone the falsehoods being forced on us

Deliberately introduce inconceivably bad curriculum to further destabilize and discredit one of the best public education systems IN THE WORLD in order to promote private education

Deliberately mismanage pandemic response for almost TWO YEARS to discredit doctors, nurses (and their union), and everyone who works in public health care to destabilize the entire system to the collapsing point so that private health care can be further introduced

Deliberately send out provocative, inflammatory and blatantly incorrect rhetoric in MSM and social media to get people riled up and resharing the info to critique it, which just expands their reach with free publicity, which IS THE WHOLE POINT and is a deliberate strategy of RWNJ

We have been brainwashed in this province for 80 years to think that one party Christo-fascist libertarian Evangelical Dominionist racist ideas are normal - THEY ARE NOT
This was started by Aberhart, perfected by Manning, happily co-opted by the PC to maintain power

All being directed by Preston Manning, his chief disciple Stephen Harper, and all the CPC/CTF/Fraser Institute/Dentons minions like our current Premier who happily parrot the propaganda and are perfectly willing to lie, obfuscate, and "reject the premise of your questions"

This 80 year old idea is based on the power dynamic being disproportionately rural and distrustful of anything even remotely "socialist", even though they really don't understand what that means

We are not that province anymore - we are urban, we are multi cultural, we reside on Treaty land, we recognize climate change, we know MANY industries contribute to our economy, and we are not willing to take the party line without question anymore

Growing up is hard, even for provinces - growing pains are inevitable -we are ready to throw off the shackles of our past and truly embrace what we can be - I was born and raised here, 25 years a public school teacher, I know what we are capable of and who can help us get there
