The level of negativity I am seeing and hearing from democrats on here is unnerving, but I get it- @POTUS’s message isn’t getting out.
Because I respect Carville so much I’ll start with the economy.
It’s the strongest of any 1st term president in 50 years.
Corporate America is exploding because Biden’s Covid-19 vaccination and American Rescue Plans reduced the jobless rate to 4.2% in November from 6.2% in February.
Also, the GDP growth in every incoming administration during the past four decades never exceeded 2.74% until 2021.
I’m going to talk about the American rescue plan a few times because of how much it saved us.
Through the American Rescue Plan, Biden threw $66 billion into 36 million households- think that helped the economy and children eat?
The Rescue Plan cut the child poverty rate in half- they said he couldn’t get this bill done, which is something of a trend now.
Then Biden followed up and passed the historic $1 trillion infrastructure deal. This bill addressed a major public safety crisis on multiple fronts.
The infrastructure bill put $550 billion of new federal investments in America's infrastructure over five years.
Also, Biden got $1 billion to reconnect communities -- mainly Black neighborhoods -- that were divided by highways and other infrastructure
Biden invested $66 billion in passenger and freight rail.
He is modernizing the Northeast Corridor line and bringing rail service to areas outside the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions.
He also provided a $65 billion investment to improve the nation's broadband infrastructure.
Keep going? We can also put it this way.
4.1 million.
That’s how many jobs Joe Biden created in the first 6 months of his administration.
Why does that number matter?
Because that number is more jobs than in the 12 years of the Trump and Bush administrations combined.
Going back, the U.S. economy grew at a groundbreaking rate of 6.5% during the second quarter of this year.
Biden signed 75 executive orders undoing Trump administration policies that damaged the environment, endangered national security, or violated Americans human rights.
He made combating climate a major priority.
On climate, Biden U.S. re-entered the Paris Climate Accords and re-joined the World Health Organization.
Biden also repaired our embarrassingly damaged relationships with allies after 4 years of Trump’s antics.
Biden has appointed new judges at a faster rate than anyone in fifty years.
He’s also appointed the most diverse cabinet in American history as well as the most diverse set of judges.
And Biden ended the 2 decade war in Afghanistan, something nobody before him could do.
71% of Americans are vaccinated.
School openings were at 46% when he took office- they’re at 99% now.
And for my student debt activist friends- Biden cancelled more than $11.5 billion in loan cancellation for over 580,000 borrowers- and he said he will keep his campaign promise
Sometimes it feels hopeless and like we’re just getting our asses kicked, but in reality we are making HISTORIC progress.
Don’t doubt Joe Biden and his never ending ability to find a deal and try to share these accomplishments in your own feeds.
Democracy is counting on you!

What happened at the #Oscars worries me on a few fronts.
Half the world seems to be of the mindset that what Will Smith did was right.
He could have made a bigger statement by leaving the ceremony or waiting until later to speak about the pain that caused on his biggest night.
What Will Smith did wasn’t tough or “manly”. Showing strength would have been using his win and gigantic platform to defend his wife and women everywhere by speaking out against the joke- instead, everything he says and does now will only be met with derision.
Also, as someone who works with those who speak in public, this creates a cultural permission structure of assaulting people we disagree with.
What Will Smith did shouldn’t make you rise to your feet to cheer him on, it should be met with silence and condemnation.
Some of us on here don't realize that the world is already at war - it’s an information war- and Russia has been attacking for 10+ years.
We can’t be “right fighters”, we have to fight back against disinformation- that means sharing war content that makes us all uncomfortable.
It is not “exploitive” to share content of what is happening in Ukraine and the very real human toll it is taking on their men, women, and children- they are victims who will not have a voice if their stories aren’t shared.
We have to amplify Putin’s atrocities in real-time.
Putin wants to destabilize NATO and the west- so why send out messages saying “NATO hung Ukraine out to dry”?
Do we understand that World War 3 starts if the United States or our allies go in- against a mentally deranged tyrant with nukes?
Putin sends spoiled rations to his troops 7 years past the expiration while Zelensky is personally on the frontlines and pays his soldiers much more than Russia does.
If you’re dying for Putin, you should consider fighting for Zelenski who will pay you.
Ukraine is even paying 5 million rubles to voluntarily surrender.
“We offer Russian soldiers a choice: to die in an unjust war, or full amnesty and 5 million rubles of compensation if they put down their guns and voluntarily surrender to prison,”
On the battlefield, Russia is suffering heavier losses in personnel and armor and aircraft than expected.
Ukrainian air defenses, including aircraft, continue to be operable to engage and deny access to Russian aircraft in places over #Ukraine. cnn.com/2022/02/26/pol…
Without uncontested control of the skies, it becomes more difficult for an army on the move to see and strike targets from the air.
Together, these challenges have so far prevented the quick overthrow of major Ukrainian cities, including the capital, Kyiv.
Russia has spun their slow advance in Ukraine as a stop to allow time for negotiations, not a military setback.
"They are having problems. They lack diesel, they are proceeding way too slow and morale is obviously an issue."
At some point Congress will vote to decide if America will continue to be a democracy.
Of course, I’m talking about voting rights.
A lot of polarization is swirling around the Freedom to Vote Act and the facts of this bill aren’t the easiest to understand.
Obviously because the main co-sponsor is Sen Manchin, there will be a lot of negativity on this thread about BBB and filibuster rules.
But, for you to truly support it, we need to get the message out about how it matters.
This is the most important legislation of our lifetime.
First off, this bill will enact an automatic voter registration system through your DMV and ensure all voters have access to online voter registration.
This streamline allows the DMV to collect information and to electronically transfer it to the voter database.
I’ve been lucky enough to have met or worked with a lot of folks- Besides Sen. Jones (I’m biased)- @JoeBiden has been the most decent man that I have met.
I had the chance to spend part of a campaign day in 2017 with him and it changed how I view a lot of things-
Thread: 1/12
I was able to be with him and listen to him privately speaking to others behind closed doors- I expected him to talk electoral math of the race, how to win certain voters, and all the things we all usually talk about when we are campaigning. He didn’t.
2/12
He talked about decency. He told stories about his dad, his mother, people he met in his travels that shaped him.
He didn’t talk about prime ministers and leaders he knew- he talked about us. How our stories told him the right way. And he listened.
