@TwitterSupport So we're just banning random people of color now for saying words that have anything to do with crackers? Is that right? So now basically anyone even mentioning these words can be banned by this ridiculous algorithim.

Please tag @Twitter and @TwitterSupport if you can - not sure how these things work but he has appealed the ban via e-mail and is awating response.

They won't ban wh1te people for hurling racial slurs or constantly posting violent, racist imagery, but they'll ban for calling someone a flour based snack. Absolutely unbelievable.

Since when has Twitter banned people for “salt1ne”? They weren’t banning for ‘cr4cker’ until Twitch made a big deal about doing it a week ago. Is this algorithm shit or did someone actually step in to register those words?

For the record, the thread in question was about Lana’s speech at the trans100, alongside breaking down the yellowface in cloud atlas.

Wachowski stans of all genders have been harassing and slandering both him and the thread since, with increase mental gymnastics to justify this

@itsmrmask is a PoC with PTSD living in poverty who recently had to quit their job due to mental health and overwork. Twitter is how they've been networking while trying to get writing gigs in regards to TTRPGs, comics, and Asian culture.

A reminder - this was one person, this was not a small group of people, and not just from shitty cis fanboys, This is the type of harassment and racism that happens when wh1te ‘stans’ cannot accept their favourite director has an UNDERNIABLY racist body of work.

multiple wh1te folks used ‘focus’ distract from the issue - ‘why don’t you go after other folks’ as if the thread wasn’t directly about racism and orientalism.

The thread had multiple sources that these stans decided not to read, and excuse the racism as cringe.

Typical that a bunch of ‘anti racist.’ wh1te folk took one look at PoC threads detailing the Wachowskis racism, and then responded like the racists they pretend they’re better than.

A group of wh1te trans and cis folks looked at PoC speaking out, and decided to silence them.

*not just one person, as in a mob of ‘anti racist’ wh1te folks of all genders decided to act like racists.

Issue is every time this happens a specific group of wh1te trans folks claims that the ‘racism and harassment is minimal and you just wanna focus on bad trans people’ as if this isn’t the same defence for the yellowface and Trans100 speech. Racism is racism.

Bear these policies in mind when it comes to *actual* racist and anti-semetic slurs that Twitter refuses to deal with.
