Everything from Trans Identity to the endemic fear of COVID is rooted in emotionalism. Any empirical data that confounds emotionalism is deemed "misinformation" thus legitimizing emotion as the arbiter of "truth".
The designations of "Liberal" or "Progressive", even "Woke", are old order 20th century terms used to tribalize Emotionalist ideology. It makes 'Us vs. Them' easier to follow, but does nothing to call out the root belief sets of emotionalists.
