I still don't understand why Indians suffer under the misconception that "globalization" requires English. No one else really thinks so.

Perhaps that's why they get their lunch eaten by the Chinese.

The Chinese communicate with the Japanese in English? And with Russians? And French?

The Chinese study technology in Chinese-medium. The Japanese business heads use Japanese, hire interpreters as needed. They are more globalized than India.

And "foreigners" don't study in English-medium. Only 4 or 5 major economies do. Ask @mariawirth1

To be fair to @Reineguerrieree, she was at least questioning the English-based class system in India, though her knowledge of the world needs updating. Many don't even ask the question.

And how many people in India get to face this situation? Why are we forcing everyone else into "English-medium"?

Even the minimal global need of English for travel etc (that too only as a communication language, not as *medium* of instructions), will be gone in 10 years.
