🧵With reports from various authorities of an Omicron paediatric surge, I hope the JCVI decision to not offer vaccines to all 5-11 year olds doesn't end in disaster

I agree once again there seems to be a fixation natural immunity

2/ All the data for adults has shown that vaccination boosts protection regardless of prior infection, so why would it matter how many children have previously been infected?

3/ I wonder if they discussed the increasing evidence of Omicrons impact on children

4/ I also question the "negative impact" on education of a vaccination programme, this is an arguement i first heard advanced by Paton of disinformation group HART, quoted by Cates MP when she actually argued to halt vax for 12-15 year olds
5/ When deciding not to offer vax to 12-15 yr olds the JCVI did discuss the idea of covid becoming a common childhood illness, suggesting the majority would be infected and not therefore not need vaccination
