👉 For Business/Career, I actually write 3 main things (not just one).
Ask yourself “In order for me to consider this a successful work week, what 3 things do I NEED to have accomplished by the end of this week?”
Review this DAILY. Integrate this into your Daily Planning 👇
✅ DAILY PLAN -
The NIGHT BEFORE (this is key) sit for 5 minutes and do the below:
1️⃣ Write down meetings/schedule for next day
2️⃣ Identify working time available
3️⃣ Write down top priority item that you have identified will have the most impact. Do this FIRST IN THE MORNING.
👉 The key is to review your WEEKLY plan every. single. night. Don't lose sight of the end goal.
Ensure you do the DAILY plan every night....even weekends.
Don't wait until the morning of, or you're already behind the game. The Daily Plan MUST be done the night before.
👉 Ideally the inspiration for your Weekly tasks pull from your ANNUAL Plan goals.
However, even if you don't have a full annual plan, I guarantee you'll experience a lot less anxiety and a lot more productivity just from Weekly and Daily planning.
It literally takes 5 min.
👉 The entire productivity system I follow has more moving parts.
I don't always do all of the parts of it, even though I know I would be more productive if I did.
However, without fail, I will always do my Weekly and Daily Plans. If I miss these even once, I feel the effects.
✅ BEST RESOURCES FOR PRODUCTIVITY-
I read a ton of books and signed up for a 6-month mastermind class on productivity.
1️⃣ Create a Weekly Plan on Sundays
2️⃣ Create a Daily Plan the night before
3️⃣ Consistently is key. If you know you won't consistently do something, just axe it and work around it instead of trying to power through.
4️⃣ Make any productivity system "your own".
@gtdguy@garykeller Thanks for reading and hope this helps someone get more shit done in 2022.
How A Random Uber Ride Completely Changed My Perspective -
I met an Uber driver in Mexico City.
He started Ubering because his family's restaurant wasn't doing well.
On a whim, I decided to visit the restaurant.
What followed after blew me away....
Full story + pics below 🧵
I landed in Mexico City at night and ordered a ride. I got picked up by a cheerful guy, looked about my age.
I've talked to hundreds of drivers before (yes, I'm THAT guy)...I just like learning about people.
So in my broken Spanish, I started asking this driver about his life.
David had grown up living above a restaurant. He was my age (32) and had a wife and newborn.
The family restaurant where he grew up wasn't doing well because of COVID, so he picked up work as a Uber driver. He swore they had the best food ever.
I got kidnapped in Salt Lake City earlier this year.
Waterboarded, hooded, handcuffed, beaten. The works.
And I did it on purpose.
Here's the story👇
I got a text from an entrepreneur friend that said 'Do you want to get kidnapped?'
He had found an Urban Escape military course to train special forces how to escape hostile situations. And he convinced the instructor to offer the training to civilians.
I said Hell Yes.
The training focus on getting special forces ready for hostile environments and how to escape/blend in. It helps in situations like:
✔️ Military coups
✔️ Government overthrown & city is in chaos
✔️Escaping false custody and evading
The 2 biggest mistakes I see with local businesses are:
• Constantly chasing new customers
• Not taking care of existing customers
Here are the 4 main customer retention tactics I used to get $50K+ in MRR 🧵
Core Concept: Get to 3 Cleanings
I analyzed our customer churn data and found there is a HUGE correlation between customers making it to 3 cleanings and them sticking around for a long time.
Why? Customers get into a HABIT after 3 cleanings and want to keep their program. ⬇️
So your only question should be "How can I get my customer to 3 cleanings?:
For those not in the cleaning biz, find the equivalent threshold for your local biz's recurring service.
If your local biz isn't one that has a recurring revenue source...figure out how to get one 😀
